Almost every dude on the forums tried to hit on her back in the day (she was attractive), and when she would spew hateful vitriol at them, that would just make them clamor over her more.  I think secretly she enjoyed having a legion of masochistic Internerd fanboys going ga-ga over her the more she abused them.  I'm one of the few who didn't hit on her.  

Her given name was Nicole, but her handle was Sumire Kanzaki after the Sakura Taisen character.  

Her wrath compared to that of this Frankenstorm.

Eh, I've been posting on various forums (as we all have) for the better part of a decade. They all have weird histories and dramas.

I could write a book about this White Sox forum I was on. What a collection of weirdos. But... met some of my good buds from there and even one +1.

Checked weather.com and saw that New York is now underwater. Decided to google Coney Island. Found this painting:

And there's something in them that terrifies me -- the same thing I saw in the... pictures they'd decorated my grandmother's nursing home with. Scenes from the 1910s/1920s/1930s. Unremembered half-husks of someone else's recollections of the 40s and 50s.

And I... remember the way the livestock barns at the Allen County fairground smelled, before the fair started -- concrete and cottonwood and mulch. Some connection I can't get to, between a before-point and and after-point when I realized that everything was wrong. I watch Fish Hooks of all things and get flashes of what it felt like to be in highschool; I play Chrono Cross and get flashes of what it would've felt like to be a person.

We're all--and by that I just mean me--fine. Rhode Island is taking it well, you know, canceling EVERYTHING today and for tomorrow. Really, put some jobs and/or schools after EVERYTHING and that sums it up. My condolences to the folk at Narragansett Bay and Cranston.

NC...we got some wind...a bit of rain, although I am pretty far inland, however we are supposed to get some small snow showers early tomorrow. And as far as haps I am getting pretty stoked for the RUSH concert tomorrow, new album/CD is fantastic, cannot wait to see the boys again!!

Yeah, from what I saw NYC (esp the Battery Park area) got pounded really hard.  Atlantic City was annihilated under 13 feet of water.  The boardwalk is pretty much gone; sections of it broke off and were floating around the city.  Delaware's coastline took a pounding as well, as far as I know.

My little pocket of NJ (I live between Atlantic City and Philly) didn't get hit too badly (I never lost power; just a flicker or two) and Philly wasn't hit too badly either.  

What gets me is that Governor Christie said evacuate (he literally said, "Don't be stupid"), but Atlantic City's mayor said stay.  Really?!?!

Living in Virginia, we saw a lot of heavy rains and winds going up to around 45 mph, but nothing quite so bad as New Jersey or parts of New York and Delaware.  Remarkably, my place hasn't lost power or had water come in the basement.
