Omg guys, RPGfan has its winter theme on.
Christmas confirmed 2012.
Quoting this for happiness. This is my favorite time of year. :)
Personally I love the entire time of year from Halloween to Christmas. Chilly weather (IN THEORY, it's still been 85 + degrees most of the time in this part of the world :( ) and fun holidays.
Speaking of Christmas, I had some extra money (for once) so I decided to gift myself a few things through the wonders of the internet and cheap stuff: Lord of the Rings trilogy on blu-ray - fifteen disc edition with all the behind the scenes crap that I love; Ghostbusters on Blu-Ray; Devil Survivor: Overclocked; and Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year. Tis a happy, happy time of year.... :D
EDIT: Add Star Ocean: First Departure to that list as a result of the discussion in
this thread.
I should be faux-bitchy about that, but I can't complain too much about being prompted to spend eight bucks.

I want WotC to put out a new Unglued set for MTG, and I want it to include a Nate Sliver card.

Oh, man, my Doc told me to go dairy free for a week to check for lactose intolerance. No cheese! No yogurt! No cheese!
I predict I'll be rocking in the corner by Wednesday.

Posting after many a years absence. Stopped posting when my computer died. Now I have an iPad.
Anyways, I am lactose intolerant and I can eat yogurt. They even make lactose free ice-cream. It is sour cream that kills me. Even a teaspoon of that stuff is deadly.

Since apparently I have been replacing fans in all my electronics lately...
My PS3 has really not been running well. I mentioned in crashed in the game journal thread while I was playing Tales of Graces f, but that was just the beginning. Pretty sure the fan is dying. So...new fan time!
So I took apart a PS3 for the first time. Of course I don't actually have the replacement fan yet, but hey, taking things apart is fun. Man, the old PS3s are beautiful on the inside. Tightly engineered machines.

Let us know how that turns out. I replaced the connectors on my NES earlier this year and that was a fun experience. It also worked... which made me feel like aces.

Surfing the web to keep my mind occupied. Went to an ENT today because of an enlarged tonsil. He looked at it and said it was not normal and cut it out for a biopsy. He did not know what it was. He said tonsillar masses are usually either lymphomas or squamous cell carcinoma but they usually occur in old men. Trying not to think about it, but every time I swallow it hurts. Looking up tonsillar cancers on the web was a bad idea. Probably freaking out over nothing,

No chance it was just infected?
I don't know you but I hope for the best.

Thanks. It was not infected. There was no exudate (no oozing or white stuff). He thought it could have been a mucous filled cyst, but it was a solid mass of tissue. Thus the biopsy was ordered. Waiting is the hardest part. It doesn't help that I am a natural worry-wort.

CW! Wow, it feels like forever since I've seen your name pop up. Welcome back. I hope there's no bad news coming. Try and stay positive.
I've been having stomach/gastro issues for awhile. Diagnosed with IBS years ago. But it's gotten worse lately, and I've been going through a lot of tests. I've never been tested for lactose intolerance, so he thought I should just try it for a week. He said no milk anything. I normally eat Chobani yogurt. Love the stuff. Eat one every day. Between that and no cheese, I foresee hardcore withdrawal.
I'm only sorta joking.
