When I made Facebook, I said that I would only let some friends, mostly online ones, friend me. Then my mother got ill and I let her friend me because I wanted to be able to check in unobtrusively. Now however she is making me add relatives I loath and my timeline is just filled with racism and bigotry and all sorts of shit I don't agree with or want to see. So as far as my family knows I've deleted the account.

I haven't went that far yet but believe me, I sympathize.

Personally I use Facebook largely as a news/funny crap feed and to badger people that I like to talk to who are too lazy to get an instant messenger.  I hardly ever post any updates on there other than a (very) occasional song from YouTube or sharing a funny picture.  Upon a quick check I am shocked to see that I have nearly 40 friends on there, even if many of them are family members I didn't really want to add.

Actually, 1 is pretty accurate. People from my past were terrible to me...I just use it to glance and see what they're like now. I also use it as a safety for when I haven't spoken to someone in a real lomg time, like if they lost their phone or their pc broke or xbox fried...leave a facebook message to get in contact with em basically.


In other news, I'm sick again, this time it's just a cold. Picked a good week for it thoigh, seeing as we just got nailed here in new york with a foot of snow. Basically gonna sleep this shit off and get ready for next week. Funny story, the owner of the gym I go to has hired my father and I to add some sonos connect units to the gym and fix the sound system a bit. Next week, the weight room gets to listen to more fitting music instead of upbeat dance crap...I'm so excited!
