Number Two's eyes narrowed and became what are known in the Shouting and Killing People trade as cold slits, the idea presumable being to give your opponent the impression that you have lost your glasses or are having difficulty keeping awake. Why this is frightening is an, as yet, unresolved problem.

Big companies wonder why we use underhanded methods to obtain our daily dose of entertainment....

Annubis, so sorry to hear that. It's so odd when something like that happens, just seems so surreal and yet so real at the same time, if that makes sense.

On the one hand, the people who worked to make this game and other forms of entertainment deserve to be paid for their services.

On the other hand, company bullshit like that simcity fiasco are what drive good, tax paying citizens to things like torrents and piracy.

Why should we pay for jerky corporate bigwigs to have a second car when all they do is lie to us?

Love the pic, especially since it is used by Penguin for their Lovecraft compilation: The Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Tales. That book got me into Lovecraft.

That's apparently a photograph from geddy images. I'd love to have that out as well.

I feel like joining in (I'm bored writing a long and boring paper that's not going well):

I'm sharing my painting.  As an art history student, I like the idea of "art on walls".  So since Yoda showed his that he wants, I'm showing you the one I adore.  I call it my "Rock n' Rolla Painting".  I love the amount of colours and I want to go to there.

Deer on campus!!  I love when they come out.  Bad shot, so here's a better one I took in Spring last year:

Daawwwwwww

This is one of the "trendy" statues in front of the latest fancy condo in our city.  The other two horses are neighing and the eating grass (or concrete).  I like this one because it's clearly lifting its tail to take a shit.

This is *ALL* I've had time to draw... Too many goddamn projects.  I kinda like it, new stylez.  Working on this, and *SECRET* picture Mongoosey knows about.... it's a cactcus with penises.  jk...
I recently got into Drakengard artwork (guess why), and wanted to try more "fantasy" things.  It's tough n fun.

The best part is that the British and French sets cost more of their make-believe currency (blue coins, really?) than the German one.

Tunnels: Blue coins are just... price reduction coupons you get by buying stuff on gamersgate. You get some percentage of what you pay back in blue coins. Think frequent flyer miles.

The blue coin system isn't an EA thing.

Oh also: http://www.reddit.com/r/SimCity/comments/1a75te/how%C2%AD_it_came_to_this

I like how all of the new things they added to SC2K13, which were apparently making the sim so complex that calculations had to be offloaded to EA servers (which was, obviously, bullshit) actually work a lot worse than just abstracting stuff like in SimCity 4, and... are actually less complex than the abstractions, really.

Seriously, as far as I can tell, SC2K13, if you're playing solo, just pings EA every 20 minutes to see if you're connected, and if you aren't, it boots you out. How crappy do your servers even have to be not to handle that.
