uttering threats against someone (not regards to making an arrest, but getting cops to at least mediate the situation or what have you -- and in which case, I see nothing wrong with leaving someone who makes a threat).

Personally, I'd like to see stricter laws against people who make false rape claims.  I'm not saying if they don't get a guilty verdict then the person who made the claim should immediately go to jail, but if it looks to be one of those cases where they did it just because they were mad/jealous/upset, then perhaps they should be put on trial.  Might be pretty difficult to prove guilty beyond reasonable doubt, but even completely unfounded rape claims can cause a lot of issues - especially for people in certain professions like Ashton's so I hate to see people just be able to walk away from something like that.  I guess you could sue for slander or something, but it wouldn't be criminal (but easier to prove).

Worst.

I had it coming down when I was driving home from school... I was practically in a fetal position except for the petal on the gas/brake... Needless to say, for road safety purposes, I pulled over and called my folks to grab me, they arrived just as I was "upchucking" over the side of the car.

Story continues, read at own nasty risk
Code:
My mum proved her love that night that.  I took off my necklace since it was bothering me while I was trying to sleep off the disease, and it fell into my... "waste disposal bin".  I told my mum, and the dear woman fished it out and cleaned it for me... and after that I learned what "love" is (specifically parental love).

Get better, it doesn't tickle!

Spent part of the day driving to see one of my best friends Mom in the hospital, she's not doing very well and he's a basket case, his father looks like he hasn't slept in a week, probably hasn't. Damn, while death is a part of life it sure does suck. Hopefully she will recover but it doesn't look good. I grew up in their house, they always said I was their adopted son, lol. Seriously this sucks. Don't even really know why I am typing this except to say it somehow makes me feel better. OK...back to my beer, everyone who can give your mom a hug.

Trying to save up money for the Twin Cities Marathon registration fee. It's pretty steep for a poor international student like me, and while all my friends find the idea of throwing down 120 dollars to compete in a run ludicrous, I think it's not THAT outrageous of a price for a grand event like that.

That means I have to start training for it proper, soon. I'm not terribly worried though, I've been regularly running for the past 4 years. On the other hand, I did a half marathon last year and I crashed 200 metres before the finish line due to complicated reasons (well, apparently I had somehow gotten drugs into my system, lol). That was a horrible experience, so I'm a little bit afraid of the idea atm, mentally speaking. But oh well, there's 6 months to sort things out. :P At least the nearby neighbourhood is excellent for training (late night runs alongside the Mississippi river, hell yes)!

Good luck!  I'm hoping to slowly get back in shape come this summer... it's never an easy start, but hearing you can run marathons is inspiring....and depressing, I have no energy.

We're watching fake high-class porn in modern art class.  There's a LOT of celebrities in it.  It's a parody of Gore Vidal's 1975 "Caligula" which was basically a porn.  The new 2005 one (it's actually *just* a trailer) has Milla Jovovich, Hellen Mirren, Gerard Butler, Benicio del Toro, Courtney Love and other actors in what is again semi-porn with lesbians and golden dildos in a faux Roman setting.  Fascinating?

When is this marathon? IN the Fall, I take it? My wife runs, and she's done a couple marathons. I know the training regimen takes a good 3-4 months. She's got one coming up on the 27th. Been running some pretty LONG distances. It's crazy.

I haven't been able to hug my mom for 14 years now. Fuck you, cancer.

Opening day for the White Sox. That means the nice weather we had all weekend will drop by 20-30 degrees.

We're having a bad day here.  It's nice enough, but old man winter is making on last stand and blowing the coldest goddamn wind you can stand.

I'm looking forward to T Blue Jays this year.  I think we're looking for a win.

Working at the Royal Bank of Scotland today. Moving a bunch of video conference equipment and 7 old LCD monitors to a new office down the block....

Anything you'd like me to tell them on your behalf, goosey?

Jays have one of my favorite players of the last buncha years in Mark Buerhle. He was outstanding for us
