I realize I keep editing the same post instead of making new posts. Fuck.

Maybe there is something wrong with them. I don't know. I don't entirely feel like dropping 100 dollars on headphones but it sounds like that's the minimum I need to spend to get anything passable. I sort of give up at this point. I've tried more expensive headphones and I don't think they sounded any better. It's kind of mentally and emotionally draining and hey I forgot to do laundry again.

--- edit ---

Rapidly switching back and forth between Sennheisers and Sony earbuds. Baseline for what the audio should sound like is pretty obliterated at this point. Whoops.

--- edit ---

I can't tell if these sound good or not. This is why listening stations don't really help.

If it really does sound dramatically worse than a $15 pair then there probably is something wrong with it and you should try to exchange it for a different pair.  Sennheiser's customer support and warranty is really good.

For the record Agent D., the model he's referring to is their $25 dollar set (give or take, depending on where you get it from), so you're only looking at slightly better quality than what you'll pull off a shelf at Wal-Mart.  Taking a single step up the ladder price/quality-wise might help.  If all else fails, go to a shop with a reference disc and compare and contrast.
A broken set of cheap sennheiser headphones with the cord cut off are still better than 70% of headphones out there. Just tossing that out there.

Are you using in-ear or over-ear?

Heck, in Canada, we're afraid they'll miss the USA and hit us instead.

I'm pretty sure any country that has at least two nukes has one aimed at Canada just because. Hell, most countries will probably use Canada to zero-in their targeting sensors.

The good thing about Canada is that it's so sparsely populated that you need to be REALLY accurate to actually hit a populous area.

also what if north korea just REALLY hates Lard's mom and this entire thing is just a ruse to give her a panic attack?

Okay I think there's definitely something up with the Sennheisers. I tried flipping them around to see if I was wearing them backwards, at which point I noticed that the speaker on the right side is like... jutting out really far. So that it presses up against my ear. Left side doesn't do that.

And when I flip them around, it's still the right piece that juts out too far, so I can't just blame it on facial asymmetry, because then my right ear would be getting jabbed no matter WHICH way I had them oriented.

DON'T think that's supposed to happen.

So yeah. Right driver's definitely distorted. Not sure if there's something else wrong with it or if it's just because it's malpositioned, but that solves that mystery.

Here's a snipit of what I'm working on for my final orchestration project...

Final Orchestration Project

See if you can name the tune (I'm sure Ramza can get this one ;))

It's due this Friday and I'm more than half way done. I'm still tempting to have a trumpet in the mix. Be sure to suck this tune up as much as you want...because it's going down once Friday hits (or whenever I remember). However, I'll replace it with a completed version if the final product comes out amazing. :)

So pretty cool job today, I was working at the Culture Club in NYC, setting up some production shit for an 80's party hosted by National Geographic. They're having a 3 day thing starting sunday about the 80's and its impact today and such, kinda like VH1's "I love the 80's" programs only less hokey.

The walls had all kinds of video game art painted on em. Super Mario, Donkey Kong, Pac Man....it was actually really cool. I couldn't get good pictures really, but here's one of the hallway I got.
