There's a festival at the school next week, and I was told today that I am going to have to sing for it. As in get up in front of all of the students and sing.

I said no.

If they try and make me, I'm going to sing the Max Power song from the Simpsons and substitute my name in.

I dropped a course once just to avoid singing. To be fair, the course was not nearly what I thought it was going to be. I thought the course "Computers and Music" would help with my then-hobby of making remixes of all sorts of music, but it seemed more interested in how to use sampling to create crappy original music.

Anyone else ever get that thing where you're half asleep/half awake and trying to talk to someone? And like you're seeing and interacting with the world around you but you're also dreaming a little?

I think my coworkers would assume I was drunk if they spoke English better enough to realize how little sense I'm making.

Finally made up my mind about Rune Factory 4 and pre-ordered it. It's shaping up to look as good as Rune Factory 3 but with a *much* better farming system.

idk if this has changed recently but a lot of RPGs that don't have random encounters still have fixed enemy placement. What gives? Earthbound had randomized enemy placement, dammit.

Thanks! I just graduated the other day...and have the sunburn on my face to prove it! They made us stand/sit under the sun for over 4-5 hours...it was hot. In other news, I'm going to continue working on sharpening my orchestration skills and orchestrate as much I can. I've already gone through most orchestral instruments, transpositions, textures/timbres and ranges, now it's just continuing listening to orchestral music and the combination of these instruments in practice. My favorite album to listen through is Stravinsky's Firebird Suite, especially that Infernal Dance...so amazing!

Also I''d like to point out how completely divorced my company's /corporate culture/ is from the actual projects there. We're doing peer evaluations now and I have these surveys to fill out and all of the questions are just

complete fucking blerk about how well so-and-so is upholding bullshit company standard that has no relevance to any of our actual jobs.

I actually just told one of the managers I couldn't answer one of the requested surveys because I didn't know the employee well enough in the context the survey was being given.
