You could try a portable air conditioner, zmknight. They just need an exit path through a window for their exhaust tubes.

Decided that I quit caring about /personal responsibility/ and /being an adult/ so now I've got some more Saturn games coming in the mail.

I think of myself in pretty good shape, cardio and core-wise, but I did a practice run for the Chicago Fire Dept's physical test and damn was it hard. I have a lot of time to prepare for the actual thing and I'll use it all wisely.

You alright? Having a stroke?

That post seems to be missing some lacking ideas, words, and stuff to form any semblance of sense

I want to train with Agent D. out in the Upper Peninsula wilderness during winter. We can drag sleds, chop logs, carry trees, snap reindeer in two and I'll bed women on carpets made of bear fur.

^ I switched to Chrome when Firefox was giving me the same amount of flack

I'm soooo fucking annoyed.
I believe in being comfortable when you study, but my mum has pissed me off.
Prof does Powerpoint slides, like 50 per class, so I ask my mum to print them from work to save me time, paper, and ink.
"Mum, please print when/if you have time.  Save some trees, print 6 per page...do you know HOW to do that?  No?  Alright I'll tell you..."
1) I give her written instructions because she's computer illiterate
2) I make a screen caps of how to set it to 6 slides per page
3) I tell her to call me if she can't manage it!!!!  AND SHE DID.

In the end she asks a friend how to do it in the past.  This time I guess she didn't, now I have a fucking BOOK's WORTH of power point slides with between 100-200 words per page that I'm flipping every minute.  It's not even an elegant print, I gotta keep flipping it around because it printed both ends.

I think I've said before, I don't devote myself to "living green" and all that -- but when it's this OBVIOUS and AVOIDABLE waste where after I gave her three different methods of help, I get a little pissed that she's this fucking thick.  This also stretches into NUMEROUS circumstances where we've had to deal with technological or other issues because her learning curve is like like a goddamn tortoise going up a steep hill.  When I say this to her, that I was upset she didn't try asking me when I called her, showed her pictures, and everything else, she gets upset at me snapping back "I'll do it tomorrow!!" like I made the mistake.

Also, fuck her for making me feel guilty about cleaning my room and the house.  I don't deserve to have my garbage searched every time I clean.  I can't even begin to describe the nightmare that can be our bathroom.  It looks nice at first, but there's scum, smoker's "yellowing", dust (and when it gets wet it just seems to stick to surfaces), and DEAD BUGS everywhere.

She does NOTHING in the house and the few times I ask a favor I think I'd have better odds convincing a politician to change some laws around.

I don't like badmouthing someone for doing a favor for me if they screw it up, but in a case where they are not sure of how to do said favor, they should just politely decline.

Parent stuff.

My parents are a lot more prone to pitch stuff that's not in perfect condition than I am. I mean, I prefer to use stuff till it breaks, and if something can be repaired, I'd rather repair it than get a new one.

I don't know maybe it's generational. Maybe people that were born in the 50s are just more apathetic about wasting stuff.

... Assuming Dice's parents were born in the 50's. I think my parents are probably older than the average parents of someone my age. Whup.
