So, after a mostly good day of watching Battlestar Galactica I made the stupid, STUPID mistake of getting into an argument on a Facebook thread about the Zimmerman case.  After the usual frustration and disgust that I get from dealing with morons who think making up random shit is better than paying attention to available evidence and my frustration and disgust at myself for getting into that argument in the first place and then spending an extended period of time responding to those morons, I decided to take a shower to help wash off some of the digust.

WELL! It turned out that a Spider Knight (scorpion:  a spider with armor and a lance) had conveniently decided to defy the law of gravity and hide out on my (hanging) bath towel so he could launch an assassination attempt when I used said towel on my back after the shower.

So now I'm monitoring the swelling on my back AND the swelling in my throat to see just how allergic I am since it's the first time I've been stung by one. (If you're wondering, I have a history of severe allergies to everything but animals and meat, so, yes, verifying how much my throat is going to swell is a precursor for going to the hospital, rather than simply noting that my throat is swelling.)  Meanwhile I will watch Battlestar Galactica some more.

Should get checked to be safe DW, dunno how far away a hospital is that has an antivenom clinic available, and in the unlikely but possible event that it's life threatening, you could be up the creek without a paddle.

Finished a big back workout, 450lb seated rows is always a huge triumph for me, especially when I bust out 7 reps at the end of my exercise. Rest was strong, solid 10-12 reps per exercise and all heavy weights. Needless to say I'm pretty tired now. Followed the exercise up with a trip to a local convenience store and bought a dollar lottery scratch-off. Won 100 bucks. Tis a good day.

I thought all scorpions were pretty much deadly =/
That's one benefit of snow I guess; all the nasty crap stays away from here.

Bears are pansies. As long as it's not a female with her cub, it'll probably be more scared of you than anything else.
Grizzlies though...

That and I don't think a bear will ever be able to hide under my towel or in my toilet seat unnoticed until it stings me.

There are several varieties of poisonous spider in Canada. At least southern Canada. Black widows and Brown Recluse are the main types. Not sure where in Canada you are but..>YOU MIGHT NOT BE SAFE....AHHHHHH

All right, we are going to use a fan brush here and uh why don't you take some hunter green and we are going to put a happy little bush right down over here in the corner there and that'll just be our little secret and if you tell anyone that that bush is there I will come to your house and I will cut you.

I'm worried the deer at my campus are gonna turn carnivorous when they realize how abundant and passive we are.

You know what the picture can't convey?
The horrible sound it must make. Imagine the little pitter-patter you'd hear and see that clicking along on the floor.
