Na I'm for real. My family has been here since 1903. We don't follow any ancestral traditions.

Is the Chirish thing common? Sounds completely ridiciously over the top but I don't doubt you.

I think it's died down, and I don't hang in the type of bars that would celebrate it, but it still sucks. It was some Miller promotion.

I wanna argue Yoda's logic, but it's gonna lead to offensive arguing which isn't the point. I'm Irish, Italian, German (single digit percent-wise), and American. America is where I was born and raised, Ireland Italy and Germany are where my parents' parents and their parents come from. Those cultures and habits and religious views are what I was shown growing up, what I was taught. To make light of any of that would be a disservice to my family, but to ignore my own American standing would be a disservice to the country I was born in.

So I simply am one of those multiple different backgrounds when it's convenient. And in regards to barhopping, being Irish was the most convenient at that time.

And just for kicks, my family has been in America since the 50s. We're pretty young on the national list.

Edit: I also wanna point out that the beauty of being American is when I was old enough, any of those cultural habits I didn't like (religion) went flying right the fuck out the window. I respect my family's beliefs, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna follow them.

Eesh, I'm positive those countries you listed would be infinitely more pleased that you be 100% American and be proud of it, than cherry pick watered down elements of their culture and try and imitate it.

My POV is ... what do you do on a daily basis that makes you Irish/German etc? Nothing. Having red hair and going to a few bars and watching gay people fight may be very common in Ireland but it isn't exclusive to it.

My work email was sent what is probably a piece of malware in a zip file. I of course don't open it because I know what it is and that would be silly. Unfortunately it was also sent to others in the company with my name on it. They were all BCC'd. So now there is this thing going around with my name on it from Booking.com making it look like I spend 2650 on a single night stay at a place and has a zip of what is most likely Malware. All well and good except for the emails, calls, IMS that I have received from others that received it...oh and the email my boss received from a VP asking for an explanation. Yeah...awesome.

All right, we are going to use a fan brush here and uh why don't you take some hunter green and we are going to put a happy little bush right down over here in the corner there and that'll just be our little secret and if you tell anyone that that bush is there I will come to your house and I will cut you.

Dice originally had the only penguin sig. Starmongoose then copied the sig. Then Agent D asked me to create a sig for him that had Boss Bass eating the penguin because he hates the penguin.

Found a surprisingly appropriate picture for this:

And Kev, either stfu or add a penguin to your sig.  It's in right now. *PEEEEER PREESSUUUUREEEE* >=(
