Never had an issue with Gamestop employees myself. They all offer the protection plan but never try to force me to get it. They only ever ask the one time. I have only bought games in two of their stores so I may just have been lucky.

There's a gamestop not TOO far from where I live where I sorta became friends with the manager. He's pretty good about not haggling people into the stupid extras, he just mentions it casually while talking about games. Usually it's so casual in conversational flow, people actually say it sounds good and go for it. Kind of impressive actually, if a tad underhanded.

Shitty haps: Broke up with my bf a couple weeks ago. It wasn't for any fault of his own, but it was just something I felt that needed done.

Awesome haps: Getting promoted to a full-time position where I work, which will come with a nice raise and benefits, so yay!

Additional haps: On Monday I went to Michigan to help a friend pack since she and her gf are moving back to Ohio, got drunk Thursday night with some other friends, and went to a drive-in Friday night. Been a pretty eventful month, I gotta say.

Where at in Michigan? Where at in Ohio?

Michigan: Nunya
Ohio: Bidness

Haha, it's cool. They'll be moving from Monroe, Michigan to Oxford, Ohio.

Likewise, but unfortunately whenever I go in there and he's not there I swear to God it's like they hired ex-car salesmen who try and push EVERY extra down my throat, Drives me apeshit.

Can't decide whether or not I want to go to my store's Madden midnight release to pick up my copy of Hatsune Miku. Any thoughts?

Is that even possible?  I always thought those midnight launch party things were strictly for the game in question...

Not that I've ever been to one.

Technically the midnight release only means the store stays open to 12:30 or 1 (depending on the game) so you can conduct whatever business you want including picking up any game with a street date for the next day. Decided not to go, though. Toe's still not doing well and I can't really see standing around for an hour and a half when I have to go there and work tomorrow evening anyway.

Well, you got me kind of curious about doing the same thing, but it doesn't seem like the Gamestop I have Miku reserved at is even doing a midnight launch for Madden.  Oh well.

Yeah, I broke down and went with Gamestop.  The preorder bonuses were too good.  This will literally be my first time setting foot in a Gamestop in years...
