Saw a fox which was pretty awesome. He looked at me for a second or two before legging it.

^ I have a feeling you're being clever and congratulations are in order.

I think I finally found someone to take care of my toe that isn't just going to try and bill my insurance as many times as they possibly can.

I think my dad was born in Akron.

Not that I actually care.

--- edit ---

Also what the hell is it with SNES games and pillow shading? I mean, just cause I'm playing Rondo of Blood now, but the PC Engine had a somewhat more limited palette than the SNES, and the Genesis was also more limited -- at least in terms of the number of different colors you could have on screen at once or whatever -- but Rondo and Bloodlines both have really... consistent, colorful-but-not-overboard, and crisply detailed spritework, really well thought out color schemes.

And then Super Castlevania 4's like... okay, just because you CAN use all of these different colors doesn't mean you HAVE to or SHOULD.

But that's what I thought about Hard Corps. compared to Contra III as well.

Serious answer: The Romans did not have a number for zero since their system used absolute value (sorta). The concept was introduced to the West via Muslim Spain which inherited it from India. Greeks sometimes used zero, but being Greeks they mostly just argued the philosophical point of how something could be nothing.

Best Buy service is horrendous. As is Future Shop.

I don't know what it is about retail electronics stores that make them think they don't have to put staff anywhere but the cash.

^ I once bought a bulky flatscreen TV (back before they were truly flatscreen and still weighted a ton) and passed a dozen employees watching me drag the thing to the register.

Today I got an unclaimed Dragon's Crown art book at work. I also put a reservation on the Zelda WiiU bundle. There's about a 90% chance I'll end up having to cancel it, but it's at least there in case fortune strikes.

I just realized I like crappy suspense/horror movies:

Event Horizon - IMDB 6.6
Sphere - IMDB 5.8

Then again, they say LotR: Return of the King is the 9th best movie... errrr nope. (and Se7en is the 22th best movie ever? lol)

Man I have the exact opposite experience at Best Buy, or at least I used to. Like I go in there and I get SWARMED with floor staff asking if I need help. And I'm just like jesus christ no go away.

Then again the last time I was at Best Buy a spider landed on me :((((((

Anyway went out to some Greek Festival and promptly returned home after finding out that there was a five dollar entrance fee. Which would be fine except the food was expensive and the actual festival was /tiny as hell/

--- edit ---

My dreams get really weird when I actually get enough sleep.

Anyway I just found out that someone ported Quake and Hexen to the Wii. I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING TODAY.

You must have given off some strange aura because getting swarmed by random employees often means they think you are trying to steal.

Was watching a let's play of a puzzle game, and this happened:

(Linked so not to spoil this game =  Irisu Syndrome)

Mind you, I was watching at full screen. Generally I'm pretty resiliant towards .jpegs jumping out at me and loud noises, but this one made my heart skip a couple of beats (I think I lost a year off my life).
