Back in college for like 2 months I would have a dream every night about a girl I had never (consciously) met. Every time I would wake up just before hearing her name. It was what brought about the short lived "My life is a romantic dramedy" phase of my life. Now I just chalk it up to my mind latching onto some pretty girl I barely noticed in passing or something.

I used to have recurring dreams about moving to Edmonton.

Like at least once or twice a month (that i'd recall) for a year.

I eventually joined a Edmonton community forum and told them about it. They thought I was nuts.

Just for the heck of it I called up Sony support about my laptop.  They were as useless as expected...sure, I could ship it to them, pay hundreds of dollars for a repair (because damage from accidents is not covered under the warranty...) and finally get it back god only knows how many weeks later...but I don't really consider that acceptable.  Especially since I need the thing...

The toothpick epoxy plan hasn't really worked out, mainly because it's pretty hard to get a decent perpendicular toothpick-plug fragment interface using a minimal amount of epoxy so it doesn't smear and get on the sides.  But then I thought, what the heck do I really need a toothpick for, anyway.  Plan B is to just stick a blob of epoxy on the end of the plug fragment and mold it into a knobby shape that can be grabbed by tweezers after it dries.  Just waiting for it to cure now (it takes a lot of restraint to not jump the gun and try it too soon...)

Plan C is to just tear the laptop open.  Which I've looked up how to do and honestly doesn't seem that bad by ultrabook standards.  The main thing stopping me is that I'm not convinced it would actually accomplish anything.  If there's a small hole in the power port somewhere where I could stick a needle in and push the plug fragment out from the other side then that would be great.  But it's not clear to me that there actually is...

Try using the broken end with the epoxy or krazy glue.it should hold enough to get the broken plug out.

I just remembered I probably have like eight smallish pokemon plushes in the storage area beneath my couch. I should totally move my Dreamcast games over so I can get them out.

I probably have too many Dreamcast games. I should get some more.

Suggestion stands, krazy glue generally works well for plastics. If the epoxy doesn't hold well enough due to the lack of surface area to make contact with, the krazy glue will probablg have a better chance.

Didn't see your suggestion anywhere, oh wise green jedi.

Freaking hell!  Just came home to see that I got a bill for $878 for 2 PET scans I got in March and July!  Dammit now I got to make phone calls and see why insurance didn't cover it and if they will cover it for my next one.  If they don't I can see myself being non compliment with getting regular scans.  @^#>|%\#!!!!!!!!

Editing because I still feel the need to bitch about it:  That money is on top of the one hundred something copayment I paid for each scan.  Granted insurance paid a crazy amount of my chemo treatments.  Well at least I think they did.  Maybe I will get over a $100,000 bill for that later.

I'm fairly confident that plan B will work.  I've been keeping an eye on it and the epoxy looks solidly-attached and has an easily grabbable knob.  I haven't actually given it a tug yet, though, because epoxy takes a long time to fully cure.  While it's in that half-cured sort of rubbery state you can pull it right off of things almost like rubber cement.  I don't want to this this again so I'm waiting to be sure.  So I guess there's a reason to use a different glue...but epoxy is what I had on hand.

On the other hand, with something like krazy glue I would be a lot more worried about accidentally gluing the plug fragment in place.  The extremely high viscosity and slow curing time of epoxy makes it easier to manipulate.

I am looking at pictures of kittens in an effort to calm down.  It's not working.

In more positive news, here's a random thing I picked up:

The title translates to "Falcom Academy".  It's a 4-koma (four panel) gag manga featuring a variety of characters from different Falcom games.  Because why the hell not.

I didn't suggest it, but he's been trying it already.

Okay, I feel better several phone calls later.  Apparently my insurance company didn't get the claim until after the 90 day window after the service date so they didn't cover it.  I had to call the imaging company to get their account specialist working on proving a claim was submitted within 90 days so my insurance company can pay it.  It will be 3 to 4 weeks before I know the outcome.  I will be upset if I have to pay for the biller's mistake.

Not much going on here. At work. Not needed for things at the moment, so I lurk in the boards. Same ol' as usual. Looking forward to next week where I will be using up a few of my personal and vacation days for a longer break. Good time to game with getting a PS4 a few days ago, and the upcoming Nintendo games I have strong interest in. No Microsoft love though. Aside from thanksgiving dinner with family and potential hangouts with some friends, I'm mostly going to be a hermit.

Now that I think about it, I have not made a post from this in a long while (if ever actually). Maybe I should post more here if the mood strikes (or in general) instead of popping up in threads awkwardly.

Bus never came so I had to take a later bus.

Copy of Layer Section I ordered still isn't here yet. Making me sort of concerned. It shipped on the 7th so I... honestly I shouldn't really expect it before the 21st but idk.

--- edit ---

Layer Section arrived!

... they sent me the Windows one and not the Saturn version :D LET'S TRY TO RETURN THIS.

--- edit ---

Okay they issued a refund and told me to keep it :T Now I feel awkward but uh... Shrugs.

--- edit ---

Actually now I feel really shitty about getting upset about it :T It's probably Amazon's fault it got listed wrong anyway.
