Thought I hurt my elbow last week, turns out it was just overworked and in need of rest. I got the day off today and slept in and sure enough I felt pretty good today. I went to the gym today too and managed a 320 lb bench press for 3 reps with no spot, so that's awesome.

So excited for destiny beta next week.

(1)  Decided to change my profile picture to one of my creations. :)

(2)  Its damn hot today. Got a bug swarm on my screen door and unfortunately, they're small enough to get inside. So we have to keep the door closed unless we play "bug shoot" first - get a water bottle and blast all the bugs off/through the screen. I think my husband is secretly enjoying this game.

(3)  Is it wrong that I am amused by the deli signs?  "Smoked Chicks", "BBQ brats", and "Hung Salami"?

A beautiful creation at that!  Nothing wrong with salami signs either.  We had to change an AC on a hot day and kept doors open so the parts guy could get in/out.  We had the dog eat every insect that came in ---- she loved the praise each time.

The boyfriend and I went to the aquarium yesterday!  They have a lovely jazz and [overpriced] drink nights after 7pm on Fridays.  Now that's lovely.  Otherwise, I had an "Chrono Cross title screen moment" with some of those same pretty aquatic visuals (but I definitely prefer the jazz music to the CC tune in this case):

Nothing like those plaques that tell you which of these fine creatures is "threatened".  It's depressing...
Tropicals!
Fucking jellyfish... freaks of nature.
Obviously the "Big Fish" Ewan Mcgregor caught.  Vino glass for size comparison.

Finally made off with this; found at the more well-known Toronto video game store for rare/old titles was a figure from Valkyrie Profile.  It retails online for approx. $100, I bought it for $30 (happy as a clam; I ever expected to see it with my naked eye)

All right, we are going to use a fan brush here and uh why don't you take some hunter green and we are going to put a happy little bush right down over here in the corner there and that'll just be our little secret and if you tell anyone that that bush is there I will come to your house and I will cut you.

My newish car

Excuse me I believe you mean "my car which practices Newdaism."

--- edit ---

The feeling when you walk by a Petsmart and realize that all the pets in the stock pictures they have on the signage are all long-dead by now.

--- edit 2 ---

Something I don't get about DLC.

If you're releasing a 15 dollar game as a digital download, and then have like 10 dollars worth of day one DLC released WITH that...

Why not just merge the DLC into the base game, charge 25 dollars for it, and advertise the extra features?

--- edit 3 ---

Redacted. Nevermind that one was getting too weird.

Dincrest - check out my new thread

Daggerstrike - And whatever you do, don't settle with the insurance company too soon. Back damage can be lasting. I got scared into settling too soon. :-\

Dice - Jellyfish are creepy but so hypnotizing to watch.... @_@

Ever since Princess Jellyfish, I think jellyfish are awesome, and I must have crocheted 100+ of them now, because they're one of our popular products. Yay for jellyfish :D

(As long as I don't have to go anywhere near where they can sting me.)
