FF13 is the Barack Obama of video games: could never possibly live up to the hype, but good none-the-less.

That's unfair to Obama.

FF13 is a textbook example of what happens when you try to make a game purely by throwing money at it and not by having an actual plan or direction. i.e. it's a disaster of a game.

And of course, the correct answer to the Fallout NV vs Fable 3 question is that you should buy neither and instead save your money for Cthulhu Saves the World & Ys: The Oath in Felghana. :)

One advantage Fable has over Fallout is sex. With Fable its silly yet present that characters can have sex.I loved marrying fat prostitutes with my female character in Fable 2.

Fallout can't go into sex unfortunately.Too much underlying tones on rape and slavery.Possibly sterility which would explain many characters...

You can catch a venereal disease in 2 and become a porn star.

Actually, I may be wrong about the disease (I swore I read you could catch one), but Fallout has the most entries on this page.

Admittedly the real point may be whether or not Bethesda's willing to explore the sex angle, but at this point it only means if they'll OK it or not since Obsidian clearly has no issues.

I don't know how many people like Fable in here but II seems to be free on XBL right now.

At this point, only if you grabbed Chapter 1 way back when they tried to do the Episodic thing to seemingly no success; apparently they screwed up and replaced it with the full game when they delisted it and put the full game up as a separate download.

I'll wait for Fable 3 for the PC.
As for NV, its a fake sequel from a company which has made only mediocre games and all fake sequels save alpha protocol.  And my recent history with fake sequels, I'll pass until proven wrong.

... Except all of those series weren't ones they originally created, Bethesda's been closer to making a "fake sequel" in this case.

What the fuck is a fake sequel anyway?

Hmm weird. I have no way of testing this since I don't have an Xbox 360 and don't foresee myself getting one anytime soon. I've been told it works, don't know much else about it though.

It worked for awhile, then Microsoft blocked web "purchases" on the item. Still doesn't stop you from downloading if you did before though.

Makes sense. I assumed it was kind of a way to get people excited for Fable III. Ah well. Kotaku ran a thing on this, I think a lot of people managed to cash in on this before the block.

Fake sequel means a game based on an a very recent IP, which is not made by the original developers, just to cash in on on the success of the said IP, in the .  For example Bioshock 2, made by 2K Marin(as opposed to Irrational games), clearly inferior to Bioshock 1, while Irrational makes Bioshock Infinite which IMHO is the true sequel.

this post here explains it in detail, albeit less civilized.
