Who is the most WOmanliest JRPG hero?

While macho is mainly recognized as manly, the female gender is a lot more lax when it comes to its epitome. What IS a real woman? Is she strong enough to save the world alone or weak and cute? Is she oblivious to her charms or knows perfectly how to use them like a trained geisha? Motherly? Sentimental? Is she a genius or a dittzy clutz? A pure maiden or seeking love? Must she be a Mary Sue or have faults? (Gigantic chest?)

I'll bare the embarrassment of the first post.

She's a scout, has awesome potentials that help her clear a map by herself later in the game, glows pretty colors, and beat the snot out of a general who had bigger bazoombas than her.

I'd go with Maya from Septerra Core.  I often use her as an example of a strong female protagonist when conversing with others.  For starters, she wears full body armor that's actually feasible for the harsh environment she lives in.  No ridiculous chainmail bikini here.  She's nurturing in that she's the oldest resident of the orphanage and is the surrogate big sister to the other kids.  She's also not afraid to keep them in line; she's also not afraid to stand up to authority for what is right, owing to a strong sense of justice and right/wrong.  And like any good RPG protagonist, she possesses a sense of adventure and has a way about her that draws people to her and they join her party.

She's not without her flaws, though.  As an active girl, she finds studying rather boring and is always late for school.  She's intelligent, to be sure, but sitting through lectures in a classroom and burying her nose in books has no appeal for her.    

EDIT: At RPGFan, I'd go with Dice for top female protagonist.  She's a trooper who remains good-natured even when extreme internerds like Thoren hit on her in some rather pungent ways.

when it comes to lenneth i think you sorta need to break her into 2 characters or at least differentiate between before and after her seal is broken. for me personally i'd choose Raquel Applegate from Wild Arms 4,and perhaps Maria Traydor from star ocean 3.

One I really like, even though not as strong as the ones mentioned above, my pick is Yuna from FFX and X-2.

She grows a lot during both games and at first, she was moved by sense of responsibility as her father was a great summoner but then, she is moved also by love, which carries on X-2. Silly, I know but hey, can't be more of a woman than being moved by love, right?
