The music I was defending a few days ago (Big Iron, etc) now drives me insane.

OMG, call me the noobiest noob out there.
I just saw on a Youtube video you could browse item by category when selling/trading/looting instead of getting the whole list...
So, was that there in Fallout 3 to add insult to injury?

It was there in Oblivion, so while I don't remember off the top of my head if it is in 3, it likely was.

Yeah, it was there in Fallout 3 too, you click on the category at the top of the list or use the arrow keys. I honestly never noticed it myself either, since I only ever refer to manuals for things like lists of perks (which the UK manual for NV doesn't even have).

Say, did anyone/everyone else take the Wild Wasteland trait? So far, I've found:
Code:
Indiana Jones' corpse in a fridge, Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru from Star Wars, and the ROUSes from Princess Bride.

Why did they have to make a certain companion so powerful? Using him seems to remove all challenge from the game.
Code:
Boone. I was liking have to use a variety of weapons, since ammo for energy weapons is pretty scarce, but now I don't even have to do anything in combat, most things die before I can even see them, and I'm sitting on a huge stockpile of ammo.
His stats are just ridiculous: 10 strength, 10 perception, 5 endurance, 1 charisma, 3 intelligence, 10 agility, and 6 luck.
At least with Fawkes in Fallout 3, who was similarly overpowered, you had to be far into the main quest. AFAIK Boone is the first humanoid companion most players will find, and very easy to recruit.

I didn't bother using that companion, as I knew he would make the game much easier. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets nerfed, but you also have to be very careful using him because he attacks a certain faction on sight. But honestly, all of the companions are pretty strong, as long as you do their sidequest and get their upgrade perk (typically +armor or +attack, but not always) they become very beefy. I didn't even find this particular companion immediately because I had visited that town mostly in the daytime. Veronica was the first companion I found and I found her equally as powerful, considering she wears Power Armor and uses Melee Weapons, she's an ideal tank.
I finally went through the storyline missions and beat the game. The storyline felt really short, but I have to blame myself for that mostly. Whereas the storyline missions are typically there to point you in the right direction, I had already explored most places and finished the faction quests. Either way, I put 40 hours into this game before beating it and there was still plenty left to do, I didn't even hit Level 30 yet. This game is excellent.

Loving this game! My trips to Tops and the Ultra Luxe ended with a shootout...Still not sure who to side with. Now just back to wasteland questing!!! Oh and the game runs much smoother after a uninstall/reinstall + patch download on the PS3.

The only weapon I have that can even hurt them is my sniper rifle.
I guess using AP rounds might work too, but changing ammo type is the last thing in my mind when OMFG THERE'S A DEATHCLAW RUSHING ME! *empties clip running back*
I seriously think DR was a better system than DT.
With DR crap weapon still did damage; not so with DT.
DT makes me wonder also what happens when you take:
Thoughness 1 (3DT)
Thoughness 2 (3DT)
Remnants Power Helmet (8DT)
Remnants Power Armor (28DT)
Implant (4DT)
---------------------
46DT (cap 45)
I seriously don't think there's anything that hits that hard in the game.
Maybe some major explosives, but then, just take the perk that gives 50% DR against explosives

I agree with Annubis, the DT system is absolutely killing this game for me. I can't stand not doing any damage to Super Mutants. On the one hand, I love the fact that they are challenging and can actually kill me. At the same time, all of the "behind the scenes" calculations really take me out of the experience. I really want to love New Vegas, but DT is just frustrating.
