You have to be above 18 to buy knives here in the U.K. The lady at the counter asked me how old I was and when I told her, she asked for proof of identification.

And yeah, what Starmongoose said. Less hold-up robberies, more stabbings. I hear Glasgow is stab central. :P

Just around the night clubs and such, not so much in the city center, but yeah, notorious for stabbings.
