Is there anything you can't get in a Japanese vending machine? I feel like vending machines in Japan need a similar slogan to the iPhone apps. "Need a hot date for tonight? There's a vending machine for that." |

There are lots of really cool vending machines in the Major European cities. Nothing like Japan of course, but while I was in Paris I bought wine and a sandwich from a vending machine. It was shitty wine, but the novelty made the experience awesome. In Brussels too I bought toothbrush and deodorant from a vending machine.

@ Annubis: That made me lol and also somewhat disturbed me.
@ Dice: I agree. My university career right now would be awesomeafied by such machines. I think if they had them in the CS building (because honestly not many other people on campus would appreciate them more than the people in my CS department) I would never leave the building for food.

I wish ours were more exciting than drinks, chips and granola bars.
Apparently they have ones in airports like in Vegas and such where you can buy iPods and DSes and stuff. I think it was a Best Buy one.

There was an Apple iPod gadgets vending machine in JFK airport when I was there in '09. That was pretty cool. The novelty of buying an iPod from a vending machine was nearly enough incentive for me to buy another. :P
