Footage from the Simpsons Movie

There was some footage - ok, not footage really, more like animated storyboards - from the upcoming Simpsons Movie shown at the recent Comi-Con, and some dude decided to record it and put it up on YouTube.

I was pretty pleasantly surprised by the writing in the two clips that were shown off. It seems to be a step up from the horrible stuff we've seen in the recent seasons of the show, even if there's no way the movie can reach the same quality as the golden year seasons (3-7/8). So yeah, Maggie picking up a broken bottle was pretty stupid, but don't forget that she actually did

I'm really happy to hear the writing is better than the pure and utter crap they've been doing the last few seasons. It seems the writers forgot that The Simpsons isn't Family Guy. It was never about being random and spouting lame one-liners.

People say Family Guy ripped off The Simpsons, but I think it's the opposite.
