I have about 2500 deaths, 60% through the light worlds (tried some Dark worlds too).  I'm playing through to unlock other characters to get some hard to reach bandages.

I use RT to run, so I have trotter-finger and a blister on my thumb from jumping so hard.  Love it.  I had a go at the first level in 'Teh Internets' and my mind was instantly full of fuck.

I wish I could use RT, but I am so trained by other platformers that I can't do it!

To be honest most of the other characters kind of suck. Meat Boy (and skins) is just a god damn speed demon, no one can compare. Tim from Braid is excellent at collecting bandages and even cheating your way through some levels though. The Kid from I wanna be the guy is damn good. Flywrench has occasional uses.

I'm at the final level of all the light words, and it's just a gauntlet of like everything the game has taught so far about saw-dodging in these narrow tunnels.

I had to start using RT to run as the game is so reliant on pixel perfect jumping that straddling two buttons with my thumb made this very difficult!  It took a while to get used to, but I couldn't use anything else now.

I've reached a point now where I have to change my play-style, which is a little annoying.  For instance, I would play all Light levels and collect all the bandages and achieve an "A+", then I'd do the same for the Dark worlds in a chapter

I'm playing levels now where I literally can't get a bandage with Meat Boy, instead with a character I don't have yet have and must play the next chapter to unlock.  That broke the flow for me, but I'm still enjoying it.

One of my best DLC purchases for a long time.

RT running would probably be a lot more effective. My thumb muscle is already tightened up on my right hand from playing this game and never letting go of X, ever. (Well rarely)

Have you played the last couple worlds yet? The Cotton Alley really highlights the best of the game IMO. The kind of stuff you think "Oh come the fuck on" but then realize you can do it!

Haven't really tried the dark world of it yet though. Fuck. That.

My thumb is getting a work out, but that's the least of my worries - I get a hook-finger after about 5 minutes of playing this game because I'm trying to pull RT so hard to run!

I've just reached 'The End', chapter 6, after doing a playthrough of 'Rapture' in one sitting - ouch.  I've heard about the last few levels, and part of me is looking forward to them!  Oh, I always get the "fuck off" moment all the time.  The worst was during one of the first levels with the portals - you jump into a portal and can see the next room, but that isn't the room you teleport to!

Seriously, a lot of the Dark World isn't that bad early on (I've done the first 3 chapters, all 19 stages).  Because they're the same level as the Light World you have an idea of where to go - there's more dangerous shit in the way.  Fun.

Yeah I mean they are the same levels just harder.

Did you try unlocking the kid yet? Warp Zone 5-7.

Not yet, I'm just going to play through all the light levels, then go back and do Warp Zones to get some characters before trying to collect bandages - that way I'll be ready for the Dark Worlds too.

I think the last character I unlocked was Tim, from Braid.

Good plan. You're pretty far along if you have Tim already.

It's too bad they're never, ever making a sequel for this game.

Tim is great because you could fall to your death after getting a Bandage, then rewind time whilst keeping the bandage!  I think he'll be my official Bandage collecting character!

Nice avatars.  I'm using the official soundtrack album art (the 2nd one in from the left) for Windows Messenger.  The soundtrack is fucking epic, but it reminds me of certain levels and sometimes I hate it.

Going to tackle some now...  my hand is begging me not to though.

Just finished the Light Worlds - I didn't realise "The End" was so short, but shit, the last few boss levels were rageworthy!

Now I'm doing "The Cotton Alley" which is a whole new world of hurt.  I'm up to the level 13 and so far have achieved all A+, but I'm not sure how!  I think it's training me for the rest of the Dark Worlds to come...

Isn't the Cotton Alley music amazing? It's so cheesy and girly but at the same time addicting.

The music in meat boy is top notch.

Ever play Trials HD? Both games have a lot in common. Challenging gameplay and it's easy does it to restart a level or what have you.

Both are great games to trade off levels/guys w/ a buddy too
