Only problem is that Shattered Memories barely qualifies as a horror game. There wasn't a single scary moment and I certainly can't remember any gore.
It's all about the psychological story.

I remember getting chased during the game's first 'chase bit'. Scared the living daylights out of me...
Then again, I used to get just as scared when the T-Rex appeared in Tomb Raider. I was 11 though.

I know I mentioned this some time ago but never fully went into detail but here is a list of some Wii virtual console games that you should consider purchasing when you get the opportunity. As a side note you'll need a
Wii USB Lan Adapter
to get online and either a
Gamecube controller
or a
classic controller
to play classic games:
RPGs worth getting:
Secret of Mana
Breath of Fire II
Phantasy Star II
Phantasy Star IV
Non-RPGs worth getting:
Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country 2
Donkey Kong Country 3
Super Mario World
Super Mario Bros
Super Mario: Lost Levels (Don't get
Super Mario 2
it's not the real
Super Mario 2
.)
Super Metroid

Thanks, Kup! Will try to find 1-3, then. XD
1 and 3 tie into each other heavily, but not so much with 2. Shattered Memories is also probably best either after 1 or after finding out roughly what happens in 1. I'm too much of a wimp though, so I never actually beat any but 2 and SM, the latter of which isn't really too scary actually.

FFX was the last game I rented from Blockbuster. I got it twice. Played it about 30-40 hours and then realized renting a game for 3-4 days for about 7 bux was dumb.
Never finished it.
I thought it ruled though.

Been playing FFX for couple of hours and I must say that I'm very impressed so far. I truly was very entertaining whole time and I felt very immersed in the story. Turn based combat was kinda confusing at beginning and I died at first mobs that I encounter because I have no idea what to do. But I manage to figure it out and learn how to use it. It's pretty interesting strategy for combat, which I like. Better than spamming the hotkey in MMOs. There was few moments in FFX where I genuinely was surprised and taken aback but that's what I like about it. The puzzle part in temple before I meet Yuna was kinda whack so I had to do a lot of trial and errors for it but I succeed.
Can't wait to beat this game. :D :D :D

Final Fantasy X in my opinion has the best battle system I have come across in any RPG. I mean seriously, you can switch characters on the fly in combat. Not to mention there is an easy to understand battle ordering on the side of the screen so you know when it's your turn and the enemies turn.

That's what I noticed when I was battling in FFX. I saw the order of person who will get next on side of the screen and I find that very helpful. I was so shocked when I can change the party member on the fly during the battle.
Man, I'm sooooo digging FFX so far. It's something that I had been looking for a while. To truly feel very immersed in story and world, which I don't get from MMOs.

If we're going to suggest classic Mario, you may as well get Super Mario Allstars. It's Mario 1, 2, 3 and Lost Levels for the Wii in December. Limited edition though.

Yup. Now that you're no longer a beginner you have to become enamored with a RPG character.
