I hope the story in X-2 is better than other MMOs I've been playing. :P

The story is passable enough. It won't enthrall you that's for sure.

I'm on part where Seymour is asking Lady Yuna to hit up Command Center. The mobs in valley aren't too shabby since I did grinding a lot in South End.

I find that I'm really enjoying my time in FFX than my whole time in MMOs combined, which says something. Great characters, fun game, excellent storyline, no retarded cut scenes that bore me to death (I'm looking at you, Lich King!), and isn't heavily dependent on gears.

I've been enjoying DQ8 so far.

I think you'll get a kick out of that.

Hmm, maybe I'll give DQ8 a go when I'm done with FFX. You guys sure rave a lot about that game.

Kup, better late than never!

I just beat Sinspawn Gui and Sinspawn that I used Seymour for first time to beat him. God, this was bitching for me because I drained like 30 potions just to ensure that party stay alive. I even summoned 2 aeons but they croaked right away. X.X But I'm happy that I was rewarding with rather uber epic and sweet cut scenes. I consider this part to be finest achievement yet in my video gaming career, lol. I nearly gave up and threw the controller but I just had to persist because I do not want to go through it again at all.

The one that let you swap the clothing during battle? XD

It's a job system. Just a really girly, kind of odd one. And despite some of the fanservice (most of the outfits really aren't that bad) I had a lot of fun with the battle system. It made up for the story...

as much as i love the job system i hated it in X-2. maybe i would of liked it more if it retained turn based aspect from X instead of bringing back the lamesauce atb. yet despite that i did unlock the mascot dresssperes during a time when i was unemployed ....

I tried getting back into DQ8 again after months (maybe up to a year) of having giving up on beating a certain ridiculous looking almost final boss, and suddenly started hating it for some reason.
I'd start Xenosaga next, especially since it eliminates random battles completely.

I've started playing Growlanser 2 (about 10 hours into it) and I'm really liking it.
If you like play it/watch it on youtube and like that battle system (real time strategy, that battle system the original Warcraft games had and also Starcraft) you may also like Little King's Story
I'll try to categorize some games by certain traits so you can decide which sounds like something you'd wanna play next

traditional turn-based battles
Persona
Xenosaga
Shadow Hearts (random battles)
Ar Tonelico (random battles)
Skies of Arcadia (random battles)
Suikoden
Dragon Quest (random battles)
Wild Arms (random battles)

action-based battles
Tales
probably something else I'm forgetting

grid-based strategy
Disgaea (and almost anything else by NIS)
Suikoden (tactics)

non-grid-based-strategy
Phantom Brave (again, also being enhanced for PSP)
Growlanser
Sakura Wars

dating sim elements
Persona (3 and 4)
Ar Tonelico
Growlanser
Sakura Wars

Thanks very much, insert. I'll look into those titles.

Been struggling a little bit in FFX with Hijose road so I took a break for a while. Been playing Kingdom Hearts for little bit so I went back to FFX and I finally figure out how to use Yuna so I'm now in Hijose temple, trying to crack this insane puzzle. X.X

Funny thing is that I don't even miss WoW at all. I feel no hunger in going back and I'm not looking foward to Cata expansion at all.

Does older FF titles have lot of puzzles? X.X I'm beginning to doubt my ability to solve the puzzles now.
