$100 Android Tablet... from Walgreens

Yes, that is a $100 Android Tablet. Sold at Walgreens. Made by a Chinese company I've never heard of. I am so tempted, because that is not a lot of dollars for a tablet. 1/3 the price of my netbook.

That is certainly unexpected. At least to me. If you get it, please let us know how it turns out!
On a not-too-related note, I recently bought a paper amplifier (that is, an amp made of paper - cardboard, really) from Walgreens, because it was too weird and interesting to pass up. It actually works pretty well!

I've seen these, they are decent but nowhere near as responsive as a high cost product. They're still great portable tools.

I decided to bite because there are people working on getting Android 2.2 working on it. I figure for $100, it'll be good for getting the internet in bed. It'll be a couple of weeks until I get it (7 day lead time + shipping), and even if it totally sucks, Walgreens apparently has a very lenient return policy.

Wait... no 2.2 out of the box? Meaning no flash? That's kind of a deal breaker for me unless those mysterious "people" get that update in there.

Unfortunately, here is a review of a very similar (and probably superior) tablet brought to you by my favorite POPSTATION VALUE PACK REVIEWER:

Yeah, the ~$170 pads coming out (the one you linked, the Sylvania from Sears, etc.) are superior.
This thing really isn't worth it. Luckily, Walgreens has a very liberal return policy.

Very poor resistive touch screen - I didn't expect it to have the quality of a capacitive screen (like those on an iPhone/iPad), but I expected at least close to the quality of the DS screen. Got nowhere close to that. Incredibly slow; it's got a slower processor than even phones like the Droid Eris. Runs Android 1.5 and is not upgradable. No official App Market, so you're stuck sideloading anything you want.

Shouldn't be a surprise. You get what you pay for.
On the subject of android tablets the Galaxy Tab looks
really
nice but it's not exactly cheap...
