I'll have to link the gaf thread because I don't know where else you can find this:

There's some very interesting data here.
If you combine the top 20 of Germany, France and Spain there is only one 360 game (RDR in France at nš 10).
In all the european countries on this list, the top 2 games are wii games.
There's also a US top for the entire gen, the top 3 are wii games.
Heavy Rain outsold God of War 3 in the UK and Germany.
FFXIII PS3 is on every list except UK, the 360 version isn't on any,
Another impressive stat is that out of the 20 top selling games in the US this gen, 14 are nintendo games. 14 out of 20. That's fucking insane!

I'll never understand Pokeman, specifically how every year it sells billions of copies.

PS3 sales in Europe have increased compared to last year, except for the 2 weeks when the price drop happened. It also outsold the 360 every week this year except for the 2 weeks following the price drop and week 37. It's also consistently outselling the wii since week 25, this is very similar to what happened in japan.

It outsells it almost every week. Usually the pspgo is between 1000-1500 and the PS2 around 2000.

Indeed. Which reminds be I still need to buy Peace Walker.
And yeah.... It's still amusing to see the PS2 outsell the Go though. It's probably the case in every market. :-P

I believe that unknown Koei game is Hokuto Musou: Fist of the North Star, it charted more than 500k when I checked the Media Create.

How is disenfranchising your userbase within the same hardware generation by radically changing media distribution without a stable transferral program a good idea?

That's more showing how a good idea can go horribly, horribly wrong. Still, I appreciate them releasing it if only to get a more serious effort created to have the games released on the PSN, even if the system itself can go die now.
