Ahh, Snowboard Kids. I LOVED them so much. But then they had to go and make that horrible DS game.

Conker's I have played, and really enjoyed. Though I remember something about taking a lot of damage from falling even if you weren't up all that high.

Oh and if you're planning on getting Space Channel 5, Sega is rereleasing it for the PSN/XBLA early next year (that is, they're only rereleasing SC5 part 2, it's a sequel but you don't need to pt. 1 to fully understand pt.2).

It's cliche to say it at this point, but if you've never played Portal, you should.  It's pretty unique!

I don't know if you have a specific platform in mind - but grab Shadow of Destiny - either for PS2 or PSP - whichever platform you can find it for. It's worth it.

Another couple of games worth adding to the list is Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle on the PS2.

Conker's Bad Fur Day - The funniest game I have ever played. The humour alone is worth the purchase. Also got remade for the Xbox, if you can't invest in the valuable N64 original.
As a side note I should probably mention that the XBox version is censored while the original Nintendo 64 version isn't. Personally I'd go with the Nintendo 64 version but if you don't care about the censorship then go with the XBox version.
This is true, it is better to get the N64 version for that particular reason. Though the Xbox remake is fairly cheap these days, and would be a better option for those who want to get it for an affordable price.

Ahh, Snowboard Kids. I LOVED them so much. But then they had to go and make that horrible DS game.
I have never played the DS one. I don't intend on it either for the reason of it being a load of crap.

Conker's I have played, and really enjoyed. Though I remember something about taking a lot of damage from falling even if you weren't up all that high.
This is also true (another thing worth mentioning is that your health is a bar of chocolate). Though you do get used to that mishap.

While I haven't played it yet, Amnesia: The Dark Descent looks rather spooky and unique. And it's on sale on Steam for Halloween! :D

I'll throw in Dreamfall and The Longest Journey. You'll probably enjoy these if you like good characters/story/world

Good call, Thoren.

So many good recommendations - who says all games are the same?

I'd seen that one too. Looks very interesting. Thanks for reminding me!

Played both of them. Two of my favourite games of all time.

Fun Fact about The Longest Journey: The majority of the players who bought it originally were female.

Doesn't surprise me. I like some girly stuff anyway. :P

But regardless of gender, The Longest Journey was awesome.

Rabbids Go Home.  Simplistic gameplay, but it's awesome.
