So I find it interesting how more and more deals are headed online this year. I'm a Best Buy Reward Zone Premiere Silver Member - that long string of words just means I spend a lot of cash with Best Buy every year. They set up all of their Black Friday ad stuff online yesterday for that tier of membership; I ended up getting a $350 netbook for $150 and the new Need for Speed for $35. Not bad for not having to go anywhere. The deal specifically mentioned that I couldn't pick up in store, but when Need for Speed was backordered, I just had to call customer service for an in store pickup. I have to say that it was pretty spiffy.

That's really interesting that you were barred from picking it up in-store. I'm sure there's a logical reason for it, though.

Oh, I'm sure the reason was so that it wouldn't deplete the store's product for the physical sale. I think with Need for Speed, the stores had enough copies that it wasn't a big deal. I doubt they would have done the same for the netbook.

An addendum to the Steam sale: They're going to be granting 30 people their top 5 wishlist games each day until the 29th, and from my understanding this includes games that haven't come out; as long as you can put it on your wishlist it's eligible. Might be a good time to fill it up, as I understand it you need 10 on the list at a minimum.

I totally would. If I had something to play it on (PS3 version notwithstanding).

If anyone happens to be looking right now: 3D Dot Game Heroes and Demon's Souls are both $15 in Amazon's
Black Friday
deal. Even if it's not caught in time there's other deals like Fable III that will come up later.

I just saw an ad for Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light, and maybe it's just me, but isn't it weird to hear "From the creators of the best selling Final Fantasy games, Square Enix..."
It's like Square Enix finally needs to actually market Final Fantasy. Sad.
Starcraft 2 is still $40... none of my friends play though, despite the huge roles every prior Blizzard RTS game played in our lives...
Must move on!
Two copies of Dragon Quest IX for my girlfriend and me...
Amazon emailed me a DQIX wallpaper... that's a nice touch. Zero value, but I appreciate it.
Am I going to get burned if I buy a used video card... from amazon... fuck... the savings would allow me to order Scott Pilgrim on DVD for my local rockstar bassist cousin.
*smashes monitor*
...aaaaaand I'm spent. I've got $69 until payday. What have I done?!?! *snorts pulverized remains of monitor*

This is only me bragging about the sweet deals I scored on Amazon:
Bayonetta for $13
Batman: Arkham Asylum for $15
Vanquish and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow last friday for a combined $80
Aside from more obscure titles, I think I'll just make all of my video game purchases every year on Black Friday from now on.
