My dad pays my college tuition. I'll take that over working a shitty-ass minimum wage job to pay for my own tuition. So, since I've been in college, I haven't gotten any presents.

Hey now, 'pimp' is just so... uncouth. I'm just a really good friend to a lot of people.
Haha, I'm sorry, I hope you don't think I meant it that way. I meant that as in they really are good to you (ladies no less, trust me, some guys wish they were so luck). But it is nice to hear that are willing to do that for you. =)
Sorry again

That is pretty damn sweet. x(
I'd love that. My parents have a half-way system, and sadly, they've been helping me with gas and credit card payments because work has been so bad. I'm really greatful.

I know, I'm just being facetious, hence the use of the word uncouth. Who uses that word, ever, in an actual conversation? Pseudointellectuals, that's who.
In my defense, I spend quite some money on my lady friends for their birthdays, too. So...

Anyway, it's a dread that nobody knows the name for, like those little square plastic gizmos that close your bread bags. I don't know the name for those either."

I'm doing exams, I've been reading and re-reading "great pieces of scholarship" and other astonishing material that use words that I couldn't have even dreamed of and have imagined using at any point, ever, in my life....
"etheric", "pernicious" (easier to say simply "harmful effect" and raises less eyebrows), "malacology" actually came up - didn't think such a study needed to be so devouted to, "diluvial" (JUST. SAY. A. FLOOD!!!!), "balustrade" (fuck me, maybe I just learned Simple English), "pulverulent" I thought was something else...
Point is, I'm desensitized to what people say haha

Well originally, I had a scholarship for free tuition at the first university I was going to. Ended up being more expensive than thought, so I had to forfeit that and go to a community college. That was within my dad's budget. Now that I'm done with community college, I gotta get loans to help pay for what my new scholarship doesn't cover, but that still beats working at my old job.

Substitute mom for dad and I'm in the same situation. Okay, not quite, because I actually did go to an expensive college first and didn't finish there and have tons of debt incurred because of it (for myself and my mom). But yeah, definitely not getting anything for Christmas, and quite frankly I'm fine with it. Listening to my cousins and some other people talk about what they're getting (for many it's how
little
they're getting) gets me really riled up. They may as well change the holiday to "How much money did you spend on me" day. /rant.

My dad gave me about $200. I spent $50 getting Dragon Age Origins and Nier and put the rest in my checking account. I didn't expect anything, so it's all good.

My dad wired my sister and me some money for winter break-- we don't do Christmas but my sister's birthday is on the 27th so we get into the shopping mood. The money is to buy a new laptop.
So it's either a Macbook Pro 13 or 15 inch. Not sure which. Currently using a black Macbook. It's kind of falling apart (both internally and externally).

So far got a DSi and Assassin's Creed II for PS3! Unfortunately, both my PS3 system... and my DS
games
are back home. Heh.
A friend of mine has promised me MGS: Peacewalker though. :-)

Gaming-wise, I got Dragon Quest IX and KH: Birth by Sleep. I'm happy. (And of course, there are the upcoming Metroid Prime games from Starmongoose!) I also got a JB Hifi $40 voucher. Will I use it on a game? It is certainly possible!

Well, I got everything I asked for: Etrian Odyssey 3, Final Fantasy: T4HOL, and Sonic Colors (DS), and a PSN Card. I got Valkyria Chronicles 2 with the card.

Got EBgames and mall gift cards. I think it's time to hunt down 999.
