Will there be a Lunar 2 on PSP?

Just wondering if Lunar 2 would be released on PSP. The overall package of Lunar on the PSP is nice and the game looks amazing. Does anyone know if XSeed will do a remake of the second Lunar? It would be awesome if they did. I really hate to have to track down the PS1 version of both of these games. Thanks!

I dunno. But I asked about them localizing another Ys game on their FB page and they said they're schedule is booked up already. On what...I have no idea.
If you have facebook find them there and ask. They're pretty cool and since it's a small company you'll get the straight dope from someone that works there

Remember, XSEED is only a publisher, not a developer. Lunar 2 on PSP is ultimately down to GameArts.
However
, during an interview with GameArts, it was stated that a Lunar 2 PSP release would depend on XSEED and the fans - meaning that it's likely GameArts want some funding from them. But XSEED is a very small company, and funding is expensive. The most you can do is buy Lunar 1 PSP, and maybe send them an EMail about it. They're a very fan-friendly company and if you Email then, they'll reply.

I supported the cause by getting the PSN version for my PSPgo. I doubt it'll happen though, with the PSP on the way out.

Honestly, it's not that big of a loss if we don't get it. Lunar:SSSC is the superior game and nothing about Lunar 2:EB improved upon the original in any way.

Whatever happened to Lunar 3 that Vic Ireland said was "absolutely going to be on PS2"?

Considering how horrible Dragon Song was, I don't think we can trust GameArts to make Lunar 3 anymore.

I wasn't really that much of a fan of the second game either.

I'm amazed at the hype, personally. Like Dragon Quest, I find these titles to be too plain and based on too many archetypes to be interested in them.

As much as many may hate the Working Design's translations. The Sega cd and PlayStation Working Designs scripts made "Lunar the Silver Star" one of my favorite rpgs.

I loved the Translation, at least in the first game, even if the humor didn't always feel like it belonged. It lightened up a story that would've been too boring if it was actually trying to take itself seriously.

The phrase, "cliched, but well done," is how I would describe Lunar: SSSC. Even though the characters are super-archtypal, they're very well done. Between the anime cut scenes and the voice acting, you really got to know them much more inimately than most other RPGs.

Another part to Lunar's appeal is that they were amongst the first good RPGs with VA and cinematics... and practically the only choice on the Sega CD. That wasn't quite as compelling on the PS1, though even for the time the VA was fairly good and I don't recall many games using animated cinematics as often as Lunar anyway.

Just because people like the FF series doens't mean they like the first game. Guess it was more of those "you had to be around for it" things.
I fell to it's charm the first time I played it...and thats it sadly.
