Been working for this new company for 8 months now and love it. I used to temp for 2.5 years at Wells Fargo before they let me go. I don't take paid holidays for granted anymore... or PTO, or benefits. Life is much better nowadays. :)

I work for an engineering department of state/local government that designs, installs, and maintains wastewater, stormwater, drinking water, and reclaimed water systems for a few adjacent counties and cities. Most of the time I'm doing grunt CAD work, grunt GIS work, or grunt field work (my favorite). When people ask me what my job is, I usually tell them "manhole inspector" and let the jokes begin.

I still work with blood and geeks in coats, I still am a geek in a coat. I'm not interested any more and think i'll head back to a techie existence. It amazes me that there is no consequence to fucking up where I work, It amazes me that we had our counterparts come all the way from the States here to train who ended up being trained I'll admit is was good to see friends from so far away but maybe a little research into the purpose of the trip? Like Duh? ;)
