Nice. I just hope they can get the other two translated before PSP2 comes out...

Anyways, how good are these games?

Fucken A!  Loved the early press when the game first came out in Japanland.

I agree about the old box art haha

Can't wait to play.  And sorry, Ive been outta the loop, but I thought they released another Legend of Heroes (a more recent title)

They released 3 games a ways back, but the developer is also responsible for the Ys series, which have been released recently.

I like the old art better, cause at least you can see their faces there.

I played about mid-way into the japanese version of the first Trails in the Sky game in 2006. It has really great music and the battles are fun and not too long, plus you can avoid them if you want. I played it with a barebones english faq, so I don't know much about the plot or the characters, but they seemed to be pretty good from what I could tell from the cut scenes. Even without knowing what the plot was about and what the characters were saying, I really liked it from what I played, and found it very fun.

I've been hoping to play this in English ever since then, and these games will definitely be a day one purchase for me. I just hope these games do well, since Legend of Heroes isn't really a big name in the US, and I really want to see the latest installment in the series, Zero no Kiseki, come out in the US too.

Serious answer: if XSEED sees enough of a profit from their localizations of these Ys and LoH games, there's a chance it could really happen. But it's a stretch.

I'm listening to some of the songs right now. This is one of the dungeon songs. It's soooo good.

Falcom has an unnaturally rich ability for soundtracks.  Nearly everyone here seems to love the Ys tracks, but I personally find one of their hidden gems, the ZWEI!! series to be just as outstanding.

Here's an example (other OST finds are sadly rare to come by with this small release).

At the beginning, then another lovely track shortly after 6 minutes in, and another 8 minutes in.

Yeah. I would say "Sound Team JDK can do no wrong." But then, they've had a *few* flops.

For the most part, everything they touch is solid gold, regardless of who currently comprises the team.

They really do. It seems like most of their games have something special about their soundtracks.

Thanks! These are very nice too. I really like the first one and also the one at the end after they finally enter the dungeon. Zwei 2 looks like a fun game. I wonder if US people will ever get to play it..

In regards to the game's music, here's a notable little tune from the second installment; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggUmboz_kiE. AKA, Silver Will.

Music aside (though the music is indeed a considerable factor,) I'm rather looking forward to the games finally coming out over here; it's really been long overdue. I've actually played the first 4-5 hours of the Japanese PC version myself, and trust me, it's a step above the original Legend of Heroes trilogy (Ghargarv), especially the versions that we got. Everything comes together quite well, and it's certainly worthy of the reputation it has overseas.
