So could I. Why did we arbitrarily decide that visual novels don't count?
That said, I'm not optimistic about this particular project. Looks really bland. And Kinema Citrus doesn't have much of a pedigree...they're pretty new and seem to have mostly done in-between work. That doesn't mean it can't be good, but...
Visual Novels aren't really much of a game. They're like big budgeted choose-your-own adventure books. They're books that if they become popular enough, then 9/10 times they get adapted as shows anyway -- like it's almost the end of the line of what they "want" to become.
I'm talking working with more of a source material that involves a bit more action, a bit more of a "game" then hitting just hitting "next".
Arbitrary? A bit... but, I don't know. They just don't feel like proper games, it's quite literally just a "visual novel".
This project does look bland. A bit of a shame, I thought the characters would haveworked really well for something almost "politics" driven... something missing from anime almost entirely nowadays...
