Beat it last night. Definitely worth the slow start, loved the game.

My Vita is being held hostage; I lent it to a friend right before Trails SC got its date announced, then they left for a long vacation :*(.  It's a trustworthy friend, only bad luck and distance have prevented me getting my Vita back promptly.  I'll be able to start SC and CS right around the same time.  They'll be worth the wait.

Still working on the endgame, and I've pretty much had to grind for Craft Points and exit the Axis Tower a few times to pick up status-preventing accessories, which have actually made a world of difference sometimes.

Yeah I'm on chapter 3 of Trails in the Sky. I want to finish it by the end of this week so I can start on SC. I won't be able to finish  that before Cold Steel but at least I will only be one game away from playing it. I might stream both games over the Christmas break.

I finished a few days ago and was generally impressed, although I didn't like looking at a guide to make it through some of the endgame puzzles (though I didn't need a guide for the bosses, which as I've said were largely a matter of having the right status-preventing accessories). It had also been a while since I played the first game so some plot elements were lost to me. Still, a good sequel.

I was pretty content to settle with just sc since it was originally a two parter and they made the 3rd after. But I'll certainly take it.

I'd heard SC sold AWFUL though(Like 12k on steam or something) so bit of a surprise. Being presumably a bit of a spinoff maybe they won't market it as part 3 in a series?

Please tell me that those are VGChartz numberz so I can blow them off like steam.

And even then, the series is kinda really niche (on top of it being a direct sequel) and really wasn't for everyone to begin with (a lot of RPGers I hang around with outside of these forums were having trouble getting into the game because they wanted complicated RPG systems and not the mid-00s era turn based fare with minimal bells and whistles and couldn't be bothered to do things like talk to NPCs or spend 5 seconds looking at the detailed background), so its not surprising that it wouldn't do gangbusters right out of the gate. Really, 120k for this kind of title isn't something to sneeze at, just look at how TMS#FE did in Japan to see dire numbers.

Neat. I'll certainly play it if it gets an official release, but I'll be honest, I am more interested in getting Zero and Ao at this point.

Ok, well now I feel the need to go buy SC on Steam even though it will be a long time before I play it.

Just add it to your wishlist. It's not like it's going anywhere.

It's been on my wishlist since its release.

I think it went on sale (in EU?), so hopefully that's enough to convince you?

Really looking forward to TC.  I have issues with the second game, but goddamn the series has my heart and I'm probably going "all in" anyways.  I'd also really love to see them make Zero/Ao happen... but I almost feel bad for asking.
