I don't know about this. It could be good, but I like the original games, hope they don't stray too far from the formula. Skimming through a single page of that topic reminded me how obsessed people can get. Makes me want to have a look if Something Awful still does the "weekend web".

I'm liking the looks of it a lot! I think the only thing going against it is Uncharted 3.
Both follow the Indiana Jones type of adventure, with platforming and puzzles but with the inumerous praises U2 got and the increasing hype it is getting I can't see how this new Tomb Raider won't be shadowed by it, unless they surprise us and release it as soon as July because the closer it gets to uncharted the closer it gets to not being seen.

I THINK the intent is to go for a different experience, plus given the lengths of the games it's not unreasonably to fit in both like it would be for two massive RPGs.

As a heads up, the new issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine totally has this game on the cover. A really nice write-up with a lot of screenshots. The game is apparently not releasing until next year, so no worries about competing with Uncharted 3 now.

I kinda hate this "grand theatrics" games have going nowadays... I wanted gameplay. :(
EDIT: watched the vid, looks amazing to say the least. But I love the Squeenix-universe hair physics at play. She just got dug out of a watery grave, but her hair still swishes around -- it's beautiful! haha

Mortal Kombat, DMC and now Tomb Raider. Lots of reebots happening lately. Trailer looks great though, just hope they don't mess about with the formula too much. I have very fond memories of the original tile.

Yeah it'd be pretty sweet if this game was heavy on survival and exploration.

That's what I hope too. I'm getting pretty tired of seeing that every big new game is about shooting things.

She moans too much, they really need to tone that down.

I bet that's SquareEnix's doings. Probably just like they did to the 3rd Birthday.
