I'm interested. This really is the first rockstar game that has caught my attention. It seems to be their first game in which their main goal is drama and presentation. As a big film noire buff, I'm excited. However, noire is one of those genres that can easily be screwed up, and without caution can become incredibly derivative and cliche. I believe that if adhered to by the letter, it can be quite cheesy, but if used as a backdrop for a more intense drama, can be amazing. For instance, when watched for pure artistry (and not nostalgia), the Maltese Falcon isn't a great film. However, the altered neo-noirs such as Chinatown and The Third Man, not to mention Blade Runner, are brilliant.
