Honestly, given how some of these other games of theirs have done I think they just plain fucked up by not releasing Vesperia PS3 in a timely manner. Sounds like that would've been a more profitable venture than Enslaved and especially Splatterhouse ended up being.

I agree with Parn. They already localized it, the game would have to be the biggest flop ever to make them lose money and considering how many quality jrpgs are out there (not) there's definitely a market for it.

Not everyone is financially blessed as you
HA! Not quite.
My wife bought me a 360 arcade for my birthday a few years back, and I bought a PS3 after the price drop. Set aside money for a few paychecks and bingo! New system. Not that complicated.

You're literally in the top percentile of the most wealthy people in the world.

wtf? Somehow you know my financial situation now? creepy. And aren't even the poorest Americans "wealthy" compared to the whole world?
Anyway...

Spallterhouse?  Totally.

Enslaved was pretty awesome.  Just one of those a-shame cases it didnt sell well (short too).

I agree - I think a lot of people wouldn't have bought it.  I'm surprised they wouldn't have risked it - but I guess, at the same time, they simply didn't want to make that risk.  Aren't there more X360's in the States?  Some people are still hopeful - saying there's enough "hints" that its eventually gonna happen...but..

I just don't see Vesperia happening.

Namco is probably bringing Graces F over to gauge whether bringing over Xillia and/or Abyss 3DS would be worth it as well.

In everyone's opinion, what's the Tales game to play for someone who hasn't really been impressed with Tales games?

I've heard the same. Actually I heard that the formula that there using to determine whether Xillia comes over is that however many units ToGf sells in NA, it needed to sell a thousand more copies for them to bring Xillia over. :-/

I don't either - not by this point and time.  We're getting Graces.  And I hope to Christ we get Xillia (to me, it looks waay better).
I'm not too sure how much they expect to sell, which scares me given the niche crowd Tales or anime RPGs already are.

Can't Bamco just budget themselves better?

Like Parn said, half the in-game work was already done for a PS3 version... what stopped them???

1000 more compared to what??  Vesp??

In that case I hope pissy PS3 owners bitter about the lack of a Tales title flock to Graces... otherwise I think the dream will die.

I won't be flocking to anything.  Graces doesn't interest me in the slightest.

I prefer Xillia myself... but what are ya gonna do?  I still have yet to be really put out by a Tales title.

There's a limit to what they can do realistically. Only so many resources (some already sunk into other games, like Dark Souls) with no real guarantee of Tales games getting decent sales... yet.

I won't be getting a Tales either. Not really my thing.

Tales of The Abyss.
