I saw the final episode of Young Justice. I have only one thing to say. Well, two things. The first is

The second is I hate that Connor and Megan got back together. Seriously? WTF.

I liked the couple of super boy and miss martian, though. They were cute together, both completely retarded in their surroundings. Fuck La'ghann, he was ass. The fact that they went as far as to straight up call Vergil Static just shows that Static Shock was a badass cartoon too.

I did like the ending line....business as usual. Words to live by.

Problem with Superboy and Miss Martian, if you listen to their conversation earlier in the season, the subtext becomes incredibly disturbing. Superboy asks if she didn't know that he'd feel 'her touch' and that she 'perverted it.' She took something that was supposedly pure and good and made it into a traumatic experience for him. He then asked if she was sorry she did it, or sorry she got caught. It was basically an allegory for rape, and the fact that they got back together has a lot of problems associated with the background and subtext; Megan basically got off scot free for her actions.

As for my secret text, I expected it due to the foreshadowing in the penultimate episode, but I was hoping I was wrong. Damn was I right.

I disagree, rape is a little extreme for that circumstance. I'd compare it more to a young couple's first time having sex, and the inevitable freak out. It's funny to see Superboy as the girl in this case, but it worked. Plus the fact that after they originally broke it off, Superboy stayed the loner for as long as he did, he never stopped caring. Meanwhile Miss Martian had her rebound guy (though a 5 year relationship....wtf) whom she was obviously just using for hot martian x tunafish sex, the moment something bad happened she immediately deads fishface and gets all pathetic. I think the two of them were amazingly meant for each other, as they're both horrible in social situations, Megan the postergirl cheerleader and Connor the ever brooding lone wolf....complete with his wolf and a bike he has dubbed "she" when referring to it. They work for each other...cuz I doubt anyone else would work with either of them. Don't get me wrong, I could see how easily perceived your view of it is, and perhaps it is what the writers were aiming for, but I see it more easily this way.

As for SPOILER TAGS OMG, we both agree....it hit hard. I almost choked back a tear when...

WTF?! All that for...THAT?! The freakin' governor doesn't even bite it?! Where the hell did he go? It felt like nothing really happened in that episode. The big drama was with Andrea, and I didn't even like her very much. And now their back at the prison, with a bunch more people? This all makes no sense. I was hoping they were done with the prison, and we'd get a fresh location for next season.  Not what I expected at all.
