I never thought the show would get so dark and depressing.
I loved the part though where Harry walks up to the phone booth while Pete is inside
"What do you want?"
"You walked up to me."
"You opened the door!"
Strange bit of comedy in the show.
The part where Peggy paniced and yelled "PIZZA HOUSE" into the phone was amazing. Now I wish every takeout place I call has Peggy on the other line affecting some sort of accent.

Don actually had a zinger that episode: on the phone, "No we're just pulling a hysterical joke on you" or something.
Community:
- I feel Community can't really do as good an episode unless it's a clip show or themed episode :O At the very least they seem to be some of the better ones.
- Guaranteed half of this episode was just ideas that had been scrapped for normal episodes and put into a clever set of clips. x)
- Really good episode this week, nonetheless, lots of laughs and outrageous stuff (love the stupid classes... "ladders" *applause*, "breathing deeply", and "what can you fry?" ---
not
french fries).
- Also, is it just me or is Allison Brie getting more screen time than Gillian Jacobs? Not that I mind, Britta has been annoying with the constant "IM A PSYCH MAJOR" shtick (even the characters get tired of it).
Office
Goddammit. End it. Please. Andy fucking sucks, and the show is more than finished, it's not even being very funny anymore. This season can only be watched because it was free. The only highlights were Oscar's love life (I root for the guy, he's one of few normies on the show), the coconut-penis drink, and the velcro suit. The rest?? Eugh.
30 Rock
Meh. Good moments. I get sick of the Jenna plots. THey're great for how backwards they are, but even her problems get old.

Jenna and Tracy are both played out. I hope they still have that woman who plays the ditsy insane page(Haven't seen her for a few episodes). I don't think I'd ever get tired of Jack and Liz, but the side plots need her to keep things interesting.

I love how they try and play off the respective locations of Parks/Rec or The Office but then when they go outside it's clearly nice ass California and not Indiana or Penn.

the "director's cut" of Parks and Rec eps on hulu are pretty damn awesome. God that show rules.
Fuck y'all. Jenna and Tracy rule. So does Hazel.

Saturday morning cartoon reviews a go-go.
Thundercats had an origin episode for Mumm-ra's sword...yeah, lame premise. Still nice to see more back story though, and Lion-o is definitely gonna be having puma kitties, heh heh.
Young Justice got real. New bad guy has emerged....wasn't EXACTLY expected except I read back story and found out he was the son of another bad guy. Superboy and Superman have a new relationship as brothers instead of son and father. Oh yeah, Ms Martian may be a bit of a sadist.
Legend of Korra got realer. The championship doesn't go as one would expect, and the reason for Toph's kid's angry disposition is explored a wee bit. Amon's hate is starting to become reasonable. I gotta admit, the writers have managed to really turn the show into industrial age, early 1900's america. I don't know whether I'm impressed by the similarity, or disappointed by the ease of story progression. It's like this already happened....because it sort of did.
In any case, these new cartoons lead me to one single conclusion. How come cartoons 20 years ago sucked so bad compared to these?

That show has gotten better and better.
The first couple seasons were pretty unimpressive, I thought.
But every single character has gotten better and funnier. It has basically replaced The Office for me, because I can't stand the new Office episodes.

Oh man, what an awesome episode of
Legend of Korra
!!!
- The roof top fight was outstanding -- like Agent D said,
cartoons have never been so good
. It was awesome to see Bei Fong in action, as well as how far metal bending has come along since its beginnings with Toph.
- The bit with the Announcer getting eletrocuted was pretty funny.
- I liked Korra and Tenzin's moment with who he dated -- which reminds me, I would love to see the man kick some butt now that we've seen what Bei Fong can do (as far as lineage goes?).
- Seriously?? How crooked is Pro Bending to let THAT many penalties slide? Too contrived and worked into just happened to work well with Amon's speech.
- Loved the new flash back set.
- I dunno... I wonder if the build up to Amon's identity might disappoint. Like the son of Yokkol or whatever the GAang dealt with. I love how he just sort of jumped off the platform and turned away, safe from Korra's flame kick, while causing everyone else to fall.. BADASS. But not convinced -- he definitely seems like he can do worse.

That's certainly one of the exceptions to the rule though. As far as action goes anyway. I suppose you could say 90s were a good time for animation if you were looking at stuff like Dexter's Lab, Animaniancs, PPG's etc. But good action didn't come until the 00's with stuff like Samurai Jack, Justice League and Avatar. But then who knows, maybe in 20 years I'll be a crazy old man arguing that those shows were the exception to the rule. Sturgeon's Law and all. Then I'll complain about how show's are all holograms these days.
ANYWAY.
Young Justice, not buying the Aqualad heel turn for a second. And I guess it's fine if he's working alone as a double agent. If he's NOT it's just a bit hard to swallow since he's such a level headed dude. I did dig the part where he said 'You can either capture me...or save everyone from this bomb'...and then Superboy charged him without hesitation. And for once Hello Megan was actually amusing.
And Korra was awesome. I rewatched that fight scene half a dozen times. It was so good I'll even forgive Korra for making Bolin cry.

Finally watched Game of Thrones from episode 1 until the current season. It was much better than my first impression.
