^ As you should...since Season 4 comes after 3! :D

Orphan Black Season Finale

BRAVO!!!  What an excellent new show, the finale was really dramatic and the show constantly takes you for a ride and loves its spoilers.  Definitely didn't see ANY OF THIS SHOW coming from the haps of the first few episodes.  The show kept a good beat, good suspense, some humor, but also really strong characters *brilliantly* and *perfectly* headed by Tatiana Malsany.  There's still a lot to learn, but with this finale, it definitely doesn't feel like the "good guys" won.  I can't wait till....next year??? Wait. There's a new season of Arrested Development? Why didn't anyone mention this sooner!?

A mixed blessing, I haven't decided if I enjoyed this season as much as the previous ones and it's structured sl that it's going to take a few viewings to get the full picture.

It's not AS good but I give it major kudos for two big reasons:
(1) It's seven years later, more than twice the length it was actually running for, to get the characters back into the same swing of things.
(2) Shooting schedules made things a giant pain in the ass.  No wonder they may have had to resort to the "multiple POV storylines" to get it done instead of the standard episode format.

Not only that but the hope and hype have been through the roof that whole time.

I think the season was pretty great compared to most television comedies. Not the best season of the show, but not my least favorite. Then again, it'd be pretty hard to rank Arrested Development seasons because each is so good. I must admit though, the first episodes of this new season were a little rocky, especially Lindsey's, but they are better on the second watch. Except for Lindsey's.

Also, how bout that Game of Thrones!!

question for those watching GoT and have read the books. Does the 3rd season keep material from the 3rd book or does it take from the 4th too?

I can't say, being that I haven't read the books, still working on the first one. However, I don't think much has been taken from the fourth book, as this is supposed to be the first half of A Storm of Swords, but again, I have no idea.

The 3rd season is mostly 1/2 of book 3 afaik. Season 4 will be the rest.

Also tonight's ep:

WHAT THE FFFFUUUUUUCK.

...

I really like Orphan Black too. I only started it like a week ago but it's always intense.

As my friend pointed out, the last two episode 9s have had serious shit go down.
I was expecting......something - but *not* that.
That was just......awful.

I loved the way they set-up the big scene in GoT.

Code:
Before it happens it shows shots of all the characters there being happy. You have Robb and his wife talking about naming their child, Edmure cooing all over his pretty wife, and some vague bedroom eyes between Bolton and Catelyn. Even Arya is right outside, just waiting to be let in. Then the music changes.

I'm curious how people who haven't read the books reacted to that scene.

Well I'm someone who watches movies like Hellraiser and Evil Dead 2 for comfort food (so to speak) and yet, even I was a little freaked out by the particular way they started that out.

STAB STAB STAB to Robb's pregnant wife's stomach

I guess you could say...
Code:
the wedding band killed it tonight!
Yeah, I haven't read the books, but I did know what was going down. The way it started off was crazy.

I'll agree. That was pretty brutal.

For anyone that has seen the episode and read the books.

did they do "you know what" with Greywind?

Spoilers for both.
Code:
Are you talking about replacing Robb's head with Greywind's? Nope. The deaths occurred literally in the final 10 minutes, but seeing as there is one episode left, they could still do that next week (along with Catelyn floating in the river).
