Iím putting this here because itís a TV movie based on a TV show.

My wife and I watched Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie today. We were pleasantly surprised by it, though some of the aside stuff made us scratch our heads. It was definitely a different tone than the show, but with it being fourteen or fifteen years, thatís hardly surprising. And they may have figured they could do some things differently as the original audience has grown up.

Despite that they were able to recapture the magic where it counts and it was fun to see all those lose threads get tied up. I actually cried a few happy tears.

If it's okay to mention re-runs I watched South Park's Imaginationland trilogy again.

So once or twice a year, Wife and I pop on BBC's 4-episode drama miniseries North & South, starring Richard Armitage.

I honestly believe this is the greatest British television drama ever made.  By like, a lot.  Almost every single possible aspect of it is superlative.

The Alf remake is more shocking.

Surprised nobody's doing Mork and Mindy or Maude at this point.
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

Well at least The facts of life reboot will probably be held off for a while since  Charlotte Rae died last night.

RIP Mrs Garrett. I only ever knew of you from Family Guy.

Oh, hell no. I was not aware of this.
Why...? That show was so 80s, and honestly not all that funny. How could it translate to today? I can already hear the terrible Twitter jokes, at which the laugh track will go nuts, of course.

There have also been rumors circulating about possibly wanting to remake/reboot Married... With Children.  Now there is a show that would not work at all today.  With the current cultural climate being somewhat uptight, there's no way Married... With Children would fly nowadays.  What made the show so good was the fact that it was unapologetically crass, offensive, and farted in the face of everything that was wholesome and decent.  It was hilarious when Al Bundy would fat-shame his customers, slut-shame his daughter, nerd-shame his son, pettanko-shame Marcy, everything-shame his wife, etc.

And modern Alf wouldn't work because Alf can't go hide in the kitchen any more because modern houses have open concept kitchens these days.  Despite everything that HGTV tells us about open concept kitchens being the cool thing to do and everybody's doing it, I despise open concept kitchens.

If they're going to redux Married with Children, taking a few liberties with its source material won't hurt it nearly as much as trying for a straight remake would (see also: Lost in Space 2018, which tried to go for a fairly close remake and pretty much nailed it; as in the general consensus had issues about how terrible all the characters are).

Meanwhile Magnum P.I. is also getting a remake, except this time Higgins will be a girl (but will still get constantly talked down to by Magnum all the same).

Really. If they had to pick something to necro, I would've preferred Air Wolf. Drone Technology alone would make this a fucking snap.

And sadly, I for one will not be watching Space Picard: Coast to Coast since I refuse to give CBS money to their streaming site.
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

Everyone here is a bunch of idiots.  Why is the reaction to this news to talk about Alf?  LOL

I refuse to give CBS money to their streaming site.

My principles only extend so far.  It's PICARD.  PICARD.  HOLY CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
