The secret path was closed. Maybe I have to be part of the covenant with rank 2 at the moment I'm planning to use that door to get to Lost Izalith, but since the door was closed I went for the only way available and the only thing I can say about this place is that this might be the stupidest area I've ever seen in a video game.

Did you investigate the door first?

It give the option to "touch the door" and it said that it's "locked by some contraption", who knows if I even seeing the wrong door or if the problem is other thing but it doesn't matter too much now because I have advanced a lot on Izalith.

Maybe I go back and take the time to see the deal with the door better later.

Check your status if it actually lists Chaos Servant +2. If it's just +1 then you need another rank.

Dark Souls - Being Perverted

Amazing chest ahead

Alright, I'll see that.

Edit: I did it! :'D I finally finish Dark Souls! It feels so good.

I imagine I'm close to finished with the game.

Code:
Got the lord vessel and now have to collect the souls of some evil demons.

Doubt I will go for all of the trophies since it seems to require many playthroughs which I don't have patience for.

Not quite. You are about 65-70% through the game. You still have a few locations and some of the game`s toughest bosses ahead of you. When you`ve collected the souls and filled Lordvessel with them, then you`ll be close to finished.

Catacombs were a pain in the ass because of the pesky skeletons, felt good defeating the boss on my first try though. Didn't take me long to fall off a cliff in the tomb of giants though...

There's a shortcut to the bonfire. I highly suggest you use it.

There's some nasty skeleton hounds in the Tomb. They'll attack you up to three times sometimes, taking away all your stamina and basically killing you. The first three you can get to chase you, then you can run to the ladder down to the bonfire and go down a bit. They'll jump down after you and you can climb back up. Rinse and repeat for the rest of them. Sometimes they'll just jump off and kill themselves too. Free 800 souls.

Doing the NG+ now. This time I'm playing as fast as I can., yesterday I finished the game and now I rang the second bell already. Having those specials weapons and shields helps a lot.

I'm trying to get the other ending which is pretty tricky to get given the conditions you have to fulfil (and it said that is the true ending). I hope I don't mess anything because I really don't want to play this game more than 2 times.

The only condition (unless there's a third ending I don't know about) is
Code:
walk out the damn door. Seriously.

^Hm? I did what you told me in Izalith and it did open that door if that's what you mean.

I'm feeling good about this game again since I've started upgrading my gear.  Zweihander+7 wielded in one hand, shield in the other, medium rolls?  It's empowering.

I spent about an hour and a half farming 20,000 souls for the key to the door in Darkroot... totally worth it.  6000 souls per run really is a solid amount, but I don't feel bad because every other attempt gets panicky when either the mage's soul arrows are suddenly accurate, or I'm desperately trying to kick someone off that ledge while they're right next to me.  It's still work.

I'm referring to the ending. It's unintuitive and out of the way to get more PLOT information, but you don't need to do that for the ending itself:
Code:
it was prophesied afterall, what difference did it make if you knew or not?

To be more specific: far as I can tell there are only two endings, the third being wild rumors on par with how to revive Aeris. The only conditions are
Code:
to either light the bonfire after the final battle, or to walk out.

I was going to ask if there's a bonfire there, total darkness + narrow paths + tough enemies + arrows being shot at you from God knows where = pain in the ass.

I liked demon's design better. The game was broken into small levels connected to a central hub, you could retreat to the hub and stock up on items, buy spells, etc and tackle any level at any given time. All this backtracking is getting on my nerves.

So, I'm still using the drake sword but hear that some of the weapons I have can be more powerful if properly upgraded. Halbert, claymore, zweihander... which is the best of these?

Edit: I just watched the video you posted, I had already figured out that trajectory by myself, what I'm asking is if there's a bonfire close to the entrance of the tomb of giants.

Did you watch the whole video? It shows you how to get to the first bonfire in the tomb of giants. There isn't one any closer than that. There's one more later on not that much further away. It just seems far because of the enemies on the way there.

Did anyone else know that Motoi Sakuraba did the soundtrack for this game? Weird! Not one bit of prog in here. I'm impressed.
