They're over two months apart, more than enough time to get through DA2 if you don't lose interested or get distraced by something else, and if that happens then it probably doesn't hurt to jump on the Witcher 2 anyway. Compared to all the JRPGs out soon they're practically ages apart.

The Witcher 2 is probably going to be leagues ahead of Dragon Age 2.

"We look better," The Witcher 2 dev calls out Dragon Age 2's graphics
I agree, the screenshots and trailers for the Witcher 2 are candy to my eyes.

Don't forget The Witcher 2 is a PC exclusive title. I'm also liking what I've seen of the gameplay, more so than DA2.

Hehe, sometimes I'm proud to be from Poland. I remember CD Projekt well from when I still lived there - they actually started out as one of the first official software distributors in the early 90s. Before 1989 there was no copyright law applying to computer software and piracy was rampant. A new copyright act was passed in 1991 or so, and things *slowly* began to change.
The first one was by far the best WRPG in recent memory (or maybe ever), leaps and bounds ahead of crap like Dragon Age, etc. [I really wanted to like Dragon Age, but it was just so dull....and so ugly]. I could probably run the second one at a very decent framerate, but I just can't play PC games these days. I just can't get comfortable sitting at my computer desk and the fact that my consoles are hooked up to my 5.1 system also doesn't make PC gaming very enticing currently...

It apparently supports the 360 controller for whatever that's worth.
God dam, I'm half afraid I'll have to cancel the pre-order just because the game's TOO good looking for this PC. I meet the CPU requirement (3.0 GHz Dual Core when it just need 2.2 GHz), but the video card is just barely met.

The game is looking gorgeous, probably just as much as Crysis 2.
I wouldn't skip it because I can't have max settings (I've already skipped the first and regretted that) so I'll just optimize what I can. Hell, I'll even play it in 800x600 if I have to.

JRPGs:
Puncture wounds with no blood or cut left.
WRPGs: Puncture wounds with blood, but no cut left.
Well, I guess the blood bit's the bigger deal anyway.
