2011 - The best year ever?

Looking at 2011, it's been a long while since there were so many games I want packed in 365 days. Looking at the incoming big/revolutionary titles, we are getting (I probably forgot some, so say and I'll edit the list) it makes me wonder if there was ever a better year to be a gamer.

In 2012 there's BioShock Infinite.
But yeah, this year is like the best year ever to be a gamer. And Radiant motherfucking Silvergun is going to be released in XBLA with an Arcade Stick, that alone makes me wanna buy a Xbox 360 with the pack that Cave is releasing this month of Muchi Muchi Pork! & Pink Sweets region-free (it doesn't said that is region-free in Play-Asia though, weird).
So many games, so little time and money. There's still awesome games that I haven't played (or I am playing right now) that were released last year.
God, my wallet is screaming in pain and pleasure! ;_;

Well, it's also an open question asking if others can point me a year that was better. My memory is awful and I could be proven wrong.

There are also a few potentially awesome or interesting FPSers as well.
Homefront for it's story and disturbing setting
Bulletstorm for insanity
Battlefield 3 for destructibility and good online play
This will probably be one of the best years of gaming in a ling time.
What about Dark Souls? Any chance of that in 2011?

I don't think they'll have much of an audience in the West sadly.
I want to play some Espgaluda now =(

Oh believe me, there is a fanbase of Cave and they are also very vocal about the region-free thing. The first region-free game that they released was Espgaluda II for the 360, and people was pretty happy about that. It seems that it sold well.
The special edition is not region-free though. I've read mixed things about it. But overall, it seems like a nice game.
After that, the only other region-free game from Cave was Mushihimesama Futari. This game is pretty insane, but the fact that there's other games more hard than this one of the same genre is... kinda scary, to be honest.
Anyway, about the region-free version of Muchi Muchi Pork! & Pink Sweets.
I read the news in Siliconera
, hope is true.

Man, I'd wait until the year's over first. While there's plenty of great games coming along there IS the factor of excitement clouding perception, and who knows how many will be delayed, be disappointments, or simply forgotten as time goes on?
I hold to 1998 as my favorite year for games by the way.

I already had to skip little big planet 2 to afford dead space 2, MvC3 and Killzone 3. The first Castlevania dlc should hit this month. In April there's the team ico collection and motorstorm apocalypse. In May infamous 2. Portal 2, Deus EX, aaahhhh!!!!!

I would probably weep if I listed EVERYTHING I wanted to buy that is coming out this year. That is why I limited it to rpgs so far and will gradually buy the others later. The exception is Duke Nukem Forever, I want that now, even if it turns out to be crap.

I'm kind of the opposite of you guys. There's not much of interest coming out for me anytime soon. Even Dragon Age II just looks "blah" so far.
It's the reason I went ahead and bought a psp so I could play the Ys games.
I'm sure there will be some surprises, but the only things I'm looking forward to are way far way. ME3, LOZ: SS and whenever Graces F comes out.
I DID also just buy Dead Space 2, but have yet to play it. I also want to get the DLC for Castlevania: LOS. I really dug that game.
