Did DeJap ever finish the translation? I remember downloading an incomplete version that bugged out so I really didn't get the far in (maybe 45 minutes). It's one of the few games I'd still be willing to emulate if I found a good translation.

They finished long ago......maybe a decade now?

I recall some controversy over the patch though. Apparently, the translation is rather loose in terms of faithfulness (bear in mind that this was the Working Designs norm too, so the direction wasn't entirely shocking), and the writers took it upon themselves make the script cruder than it's supposed to be.

I didn't complain about learning that one of the characters fucks like a tiger.

There was also a band playing that 'sucked ass'

I loled

Played dejap's SD3, which was a slightly more faithful translation if I remember correctly. They took TONS of liberties with tales of phantasia though.
Currently playing:
Xbox 360 - NIER
Wii - Metroid Prime 2: Echos (trilogy version)
PSP - Disgaea
DS - SMT: Devil Survivor

That was one of the best moment in the whole game!

I remember seeing a guy with a shirt at some anime convention.
The back had a tiger drawn in chinese style
The front had Arche with the text "Like a Tiger"

Which isn't too bad a thing.  Early SNES games were extrmeley bland, dialogue wise, ToP being no less of an offender (the official Tales Forum usually slanders Cless and Mint for being about as interesting as a cardboard cutout).  If anything, I found DeJap gave an old title the most contemporary translation, and made it something worth remembering.

Yeah, I'm not complaining at all. I think it gave the games personality and made the diaogue more believeable.

I want to say that Working Designes did something similar with Vanguard Bandits. I seem to remember one ov the characters making a very similar comment.

Also, diamonds are dragon shit.

Luminous Arc 3, do want.

I mostly pop in occasionally to give my two cents on certain controversial things, so if you disagree then send a PM, because I generally don't check for replies in threads in case I feel like replying and then things get heated/derailed.

Anyone know anything about that?

It's probably Seiken Densetsu 3. Those are almost worthless now, so the sellers are out to rip people off.

Ignition was thinking about doing 7th Dragon and Solatorobo, but DS market just went south.
BRB, TIME TO GO VENT SOME FRUSTRATION (at life in general) NOW
I do sense a small ray of hope for Princess Crown though, if Atlus would allow it.

Mmmm-Mmm, R4's sure make life convenient.  Hard to battle against something like that.  And it's hard to sell integrity to broke youths.

Now that I think about it, Ignition was going to try giving us Blood of Bahamut but SE decided no.
So why would we have gotten that but not 7th Dragon and Solatorobo?
I'd think that market going down would affect Bahamut.
