Worst RPGS

It's not a bad topic, just poor choice of words. It should have been a little more specific like "which RPG did you hate the most" or "Buggiest (is that a word?) game I ever played." Even "which is the worst FF title" wouldn't be so bad since it would limit the scope somewhat.

I am curious to see what RPG's people were willing to complete even if they thought they sucked. That might be interesting.

I think the only broken game I forced myself to finish was The Last Remnant... then again, I used a trainer to make myself godly and steamrolled it.

Actually, I really liked the characters in Black Sigil, particularly Isa who falls in that perfect balance between "strong" and "so strong that she's perfect and isn't affected by emotional moments."

Are you actually Korean or no? Oh never mind, checked out your site and your FFXIV review was hilarious. Though, you being Korean would have made sense with your hatred towards JRPGs.

Well I quit in disgust at the "We were all Muppet Babies together but we have selective amnesia" part. So it actively impeded my progress, which is why I included it. It's the only RPG I can think of that I quit because of the story.

I'm thinking more a game with long, unskippable, and possibly awful cutscenes that might have to  be viewed over and over before a tough part of the game, IE NiGHTS or some of the parts in Xenogears. As offensively dumb as that twist is it's not like you're put in a situation where you will have to keep seeing it over and over, and when I think about it that was pretty much the nadir of FFVIII's plot, the rest was serviceable or at least dumb in a way that's more of a problem with the genre than that game itself.

I didn't really have an issue with the orphanage scene. At least it had some sort of plot relevance, even if it was sort of stupid. Remember that shit with NORG? That's stupid AND had no relevance and was completely ignored as soon as it was finished. Also the "OH WE ESCAPED NUCLEAR DEATH BY HIDING IN A TANK" or whatever. Or the damn Moomin Village. And Moomin and Norgs being the same thing. And EVERYTHING ABOUT ESTHAR.

No honest to god the orphanage scene was like the *high point* of FFVIII in terms of anything ever making sense.
