NO! I hadn't played The Dark Spire in a really long time, so I decided to boot it back up to continue and beat it, but it told my data was corrupted. All my files are gone :( Does this happen to DS games often when you let them sit there for a long time? I've never had that happen before.

I dunno, but that just happened to my Strange Journey. :( I just got to Forax and it was like, NOPE. Bye bye save data.

I've had my DS crash before but it's never broken my saves.

DS doesn't use battery-based backup like older cartridges afaik so I mean I have no idea why that'd happen.

IDK maybe the pins are dirty try blowing on it.

I've started Solatorobo today, so far the universe and characters are fun, even though the combat system is a bit silly. I guess I'll be finishing this one, I usually enjoy these kinds of easy but entertaining adventures!
I've also finished Batman: Arkham City yesterday, and I'm really thinking it's one of the best games I've ever played in my life. Everything in this game was perfect: the hubworld was the perfect size, combat was varied enough without being complicated, "dungeons" were fun, there is a lot of puzzles to do, and every side-quest was carefully designed. Story was entertaining, it had surprising plot twists, voice-acting was great, and I'll stop there... It's really a near-perfect game in my opinion anyway.
I have fury!

Up to the factory in Persona. Rollin in spell cards. Can't wait to open up the Velvet Room.

Also secretly want to laugh at my 14/15-year-old self being really shitty at this game. SHIT HOW DO I ATTACK WEAKNESSES.

Maybe I still am a 14/15 year old. I think I am in a pedarestic relationship with myself :(

Anyway vaguely considering starting a game of Metropolismania because I have problems.

Started playing Fable the Lost Chapters on a whim, and found myself, suprisingly, enjoying it.
I avoid online multiplayer because my brain still works.

got to the Labrynth of Amala in Noctune; didn't have the mental faculties to do anything with it. Ragequit.

Yeah, I got the boat so time for exploring! Thanks again Mesh

And if all else fails, visit the casino. I don't know if they changed the item selection or not from the NES version but if they didn't, grabbing a few Metal King Shields is a pretty good idea as well (although not nearly as spectacularly breakable as it was in V where you can outfit your MC and a common Slime Knight with the second most powerful weapon in the game statistically speaking).

Additionally if you have the Falcon Knife Earrings give them over to Alena stat. The Fire Claws can't even compete with Alena's raw Strength stat x2 and the FKEs even add a little to that. And then there's the x2 crit chance with her even more insane Luck stat gives her like a one in two chance to crit on every hit. She's a fucking beast at late game levels (unless they nerfed her from the NES version).
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

DevilSsummnnnr has noted crash bugs. I've essentially had my DS just totally lock up, though wqith like FF#, th. I think it's the result of dirty pins on the card, idk.

Also wrt DQIV. I loved the game once I got to chapter 5 but that damn translation. On the one hand, Ragnar's Scots was actually really well done and accurate for the most part. On the other hand, they cut party chat, and that... damn... fake Russian bullshit.

Anyway, into the SEBEC building proper in Persona.

Also fuck it someone remind me to get audio rips from Capitalism this weekend.

This goddamn game WILL NOT END. I'm actually pissed at the introduction of each new level. I know all sorts of people like their games longer, but I'm all about the short and satisfying. I didn't expect an R & C game to just keep on going like this. I need to move on, dammit. Plus, I'll probably be getting a new game from Nan tonight for my birthday. Let alone Drake next week. ugh.
Playing: DA: Inquisition

And this is why I opted to skip the DS version (well that and I had just tracked down and played through the NES version; plus I assumed that the added bonus content would be of the same quality as other Squeenix rerelease additions and thus totally not worth it).
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.
