I am actually really enjoying Final Fantasy (I) on the PSP, it's much better looking than the NES and the encounter rate seems less. Of course I feel I'm a much better game player than I was when it first came out but still, it's a nice trip back into some good memories.
I still feel that the best version of FFI was on the PSX. There are just enough updates to remove a good deal of pain from the early game slog by speeding up the leveling rate and increasing the level cap from 50 to 99 without massively breaking the difficulty curve (anymore than it originally was at least) unlike the implementation of the standard MP pool that every other version has. Also it contains the original version of the game almost entirely intact (graphics aside).
Ya, when I re-played it a few years ago, it was the Playstation version. One of the things I liked was the difficulty, so I will probably just stick to that one if I ever replay it. till need to play 2 on that same collection

I have become addicted to 100 Rogues. I wish I had a smartphone so I could play it on downtime at work.
Also, made some progress in DQ IV. Think I am getting close to the end.

So I started playing Civ 3 and after about 15 min or so (actually it felt like 15 min but it was an hour) I realized I had no clue what I was really doing.
So I quit and I've been checking out the manual on steam. I haven't played a PC strategy game since Homeworld 2.

Uncharted 3 multiplayer.
Listening to
"The Dream is Real"
from Inception while playing Team Objective in UC3 is quite something, especially with the part that starts around 4:30min.

Just play on the lowest difficulty and play on a small, pangaea map for one or two games. Easiest way to get used to the way things work.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing just now. Attempting a cultural victory as I'm a kind and peaceful ruler.

Arkham Asylum - Can anyone who's played it tell me if the completion % is just for the main quest, or if it includes all the extra stuff, too? I feel like I've done a lot in the game, and that it really shouldn't last much longer, but my % is only at 30. This is a pretty long game if it's just for the main quest.

I'm doing a game on a large, Earth map. I am Napoleon, and Paris is located about where Bangalore is in real life. It's the 1870s, and I now control pretty much all of India, China, the Thai peninsula, Mongolia, Eastern Russia, all the Stan countries, and Australia. This is my first time playing on a map this big (I like my games to be <4 hours, so I usually play on a Small or Regular map), and it really does change the dynamic. I'm very close to eliminating the Iroquois (who control bits of eastern Russia and most of central Russia) after taking pretty much all of their major cities in the 1820s. The only part of the Americas I've even seen is the southern tip of Argentina/Chile.

Are you playing with or without Gods + Kings? Really changes the dynamic of where you should put your research. If you're not, just bust ass to Iron Working as soon as possible (Mining -> Bronze Working -> Iron Working). Build Swordsmen with iron and go to town conquering your wimpy neighbors.
If you have Gods + Kings, it's much easier to play it safe before 0AD.

Had to check there, cause it's my boyfriends game and I'm just sneaking on it while he's at work. :P Yes, it's Gods and Kings. I'm playing as the Byzantine Empire.
I was thinking about doing that, cause a city state I befriended kept throwing Pikemen at me, but my lack of knowledge about the game made me hesitent. :P What if I need them later? What if I declare war and then Queen Isabella is all "OMGZ, how could you kill my pal Harold Bluetooth, we were BFF's!!" and then attack me back.
It's a learning curve.

If you're going after cities, be sure to send catapults/trebuchets/cannons (depending on where in development you are). They attack from two tiles away, so you can surround your target city with pikemen, bombard the city til it has no health with your siege units, then take the city in a single attack.
