playing mostly P4Arena and warriors orochi 3 . just beat mitsuru's story...wow her story takes a huge dump on yu's and yosuke's. it seems likely its the cannon story.

Has anyone downloaded
Dust: An Elysian Tail
yet? I didn't even really know what it was until yesterday. After reading a couple reviews I plan on purchasing the game the first chance I get. It looks awesome.

It plays pretty similarly to Vanillaware's games (Odin Sphere/Muramasa), and it's purty and fun. Not a bad deal for the price point.

I've been waiting for it to arrive and bought it yesterday. It's pretty fun. I love the animation, but it does hiccup with slowdowns now and then (at least it did once for me). Gonna play it some more tonight for sure. Definitely a contender for favorite XBLA game which currently I give to Outlands.

Hard to get much better then those graphics. It looks REALLY similar to Vanillaware's stuff though. I do hear it has more of a metriodvania slant

The metroidvania comparisons are what really intrigued me. Then I watched a video of it and was floored by the graphics. You just can't beat hand drawn goodness like that. Plus, the fighting is supposed to be super smooth and fun. I plan on downloading it tomorrow.

Been messing around seeing guides to get the best weapons I could. Everything is set and now somehow I have to find a way to get 790.000 gil to buy these suckers in Gilgamesh Inc.
Organyx (Lightning)
Tigerclaw (Vanille)
Sacrificial Circle (Snow)
...this is gonna take a while I guess.

KH3D
+ Love how they kept the *original* classical music in the Fantasia-land.
+ Dream Eaters are pretty cool
+ Battle system always offers something to use against enemies; environment, links, magic, etc.
+ Big worlds!
+ Lots of extras
- Takes waaay too long to level up a dream eater; which is a gyp since you can't keep about 1/3 of what they teach you
- Short
- Not enough "end game" content, only Julius I guess, and an already obvious secret ending.
- Fucking plot. Even major scenes I skip.
- New/Young Sora looks like crap, the KH2 models from years ago were way better
If you get the "secret message" it seems to strongly hint at, if not a KH3 next, then a KH-HD collection.

How good is the new more nimble characters in battle? I don't remember the term they use but you can run on walls and do al sorts of acrobatic things in battle. Sounds like it could be a lot of fun

It's...good. I like it as a last resort for hairy situations when I "need-to–get-out-because-they're-handing-me-my-ass". I don't use a lot of the extra attacks you can "slot in", zipping around in a "wall jump/superman flight" is my favorite. Problem is it's not the strongest, skills you get do way better. But it helps you deal with certain tricky enemies in certain tricky environments really well.

iirc, Dust was in development before Odin Sphere.
Also dammit Jazz Jackrabbit 2 needs to be on STeam or GOG or something. It's like one of my favorite traditional PC platformers.
---edit---
also hoping Dust eventually gets a PC release. Rayman: Origins did :(
BTW Dodrill 34'd Lori, which was one of the playable characters from the... sort of crappy Jazz 2 expansion. It's weird when artists 34 their own creations.

It does look pretty damn sweet. I heard there's quite a bit too it as well, like 12 horus of gameplay

Fear Effect, gotta love the PSN summer sale. Plays a lot like Resident Evil, but seems a lot more linear. Its also got rather terrible combat, but its still quite impressive for its time.

Argh, I knew something good came out this week! I've been waiting for that game since it was first shown off in 2009! Guess I better go get it.
I wonder if they'll ever get around to making the animated film the game was technically supposed to be based on? Not that I expect much from it, but it would be neat to see an indie animated film once in my life (well, one that's not from Japan, since I've seen Voices of a Distant Star).
Anyways, I've been playing Dragon Quest IX all week. This game much better than I remember and certainly better than DW2, though it still has its fair share of annoyances. Anyways, I'm closing in on the 50-hour mark (40 of which are from this week alone) and got all Seven Fyggs. Gonna take a break from it now, since I gotta clear out some quests before I head to the observatory, and I really don't want to do them. Most of the quests I gotta do are awful. Hell, most of the quests in this entire game are awful. =P
So now I've just started up Dragon Warrior III for the GBC, and so far its blowing me away how much better it is than 2. The graphics, details, and tweaks make this game actually refreshing to play.
