Does anyone know what is the best version of Rayman 2 that was released? I would really like to play it again someday but I only played the PSone version and I doubt that was the definitive version.

PS2 version had the most content afaik, although that it changes some stuff. The DC version sounds like the definitive version of the original releases.

I've never played it, but after playing Rayman Origins awhile ago I looked into getting the other games and it seems that the Dreamcast version is probably the best. Like Mesh said, the PS2 version has the most content, but it doesn't run at a smooth 60 FPS like the DC version, and much of the music is missing. The 3DS version is a port from the DC, but it has frame rate troubles too.

Did a quick search on my own and yeah, the Dreamcast version is the closest thing to a definitive version. Is either that or the PSone and PC versions.

The PS2 version while it has more content and changes non of those extras seem to be really significant.

...I guess I'll get Rayman 2 on PSN for now since I'll never have access to a Dreamcast. Also is important to notice is that the PSone version has decent voice acting, the DC and PC ones have the characters talking in "Raymanian" (gibberish) while the voice acting in the PS2 version wasn't great for what I saw.

Thanks Mesh and DPB for your help!

Yeah the DC version looks the nicest and runs well.
The ps2 version is a bit clunky.

gog.com has the PC version for 6 bucks. I have it. Still great.

As far as I know, the PSX version was vastly inferior to all other versions.

I have been engaged in a frustrating battle with 3D Picross on the DS. It was fun at first, then got tedious, then got incredibly frustrating and then just got even more infuriating from there. The slightest mistake counts against a perfect score on each puzzle, and those mistakes can include accidentally poking the wrong little cube because of a less-than precise stylus.

Now to put the fury into perspective, each puzzle has a time limit as well for a perfect score. The puzzle I just completed had a time limit of FIFTY MINUTES! This means it is entirely possible to work on it for 40 minutes, only to make an accidental error and lose your perfect score unless you start over.

Why am I still playing this game, you ask? I am on the last level and I'll be damned if I don't finish the son of a bitch.

Wizardry 8 - Played around in the swamp briefly. Started redoing my speed mod -- found another method for it.

Legend of Oasis - Only played it a few minutes to make sure it works. Seems nice.

--- edit ---

Azure Dreams - Got past the tutorial. I like this.

Got VICE working on my PSP so I've been playing Commodore 64 games on it. :D

I love Miner 2049er and Bruce Lee! And MULE! And Lode Runner!
I made some characters for Phantasie as well.

Lard while the C64 version certainly isn't the BEST version of Exile, you should totally play Exile.

What is Exile?

Or to summarize, its a proto Metroidvania set on a distant world where you explore around almost like a deep sea diver, jetting around through caverns, hunting down resources like fuel to keep yourself alive and mobile, and avoiding alien monsters and the like.

Still loving Tomb Raider. The game is stunning to look at. Pretty much Uncharted stunning. Lots of fantastic little details make it fun to explore and find things.
They really did a good job with the look of Lara, and the voice actor. All perfect.
I like the weapon and skill upgrade system, too.
I really can't think of anything negative about it yet. Great game so far.
