I am honestly surprised at how good Chrono Trigger is. I thought it would just be another SNES RPG that people put on a high pedestal because they liked it as a kid, but this is honestly really fun. And everyone levels up together so I don't feel bad for not playing every character (It hurt so badly to have to choose a single party in Persona 4).

Decided to replay bioshock since now I'll be able to see it in its full glory. I think rapture is the most fascinating place ever created for a videogame.

I started that twice but I hate the shooting mechanics... Can't get into it for some reason

You're missing out on a great experience. The shooting isn't top notch but the powers make it really fun and every fight with a big daddy is a fight for your life.
Playing bioshock 2 earlier this year reignited my love for this franchise, it fleshes out my favorite thing about rapture (the little sisters and big daddys), I don't want to spoil it but let's say it gives you a different perspective. It also ties this aspect well with the main plot which resonated more with me than bioshock 1 (though obviously nothing beats the experience of discovering rapture for the first time). It's actually very touching imo.
Then there's minerva's den which is probably the best piece of single player dlc ever and a fantastic finale for the rapture.

Looking at the whole thing it's definitely one of the best experiences this gen has to offer. As far as narratives in first person shooters go, this is up there with half life 2 and that is the very best compliment I can give to a game.

Started chapter 3 of Trails in the Sky (around the 20 hour mark).  I'm enjoying it a lot and am glad that it's not overly difficult.  Saw the post on the front page about a new TiTS and am curious how that relates to the tits I'm playing.

Also the beginning of September is looking jam packed with releases.  Tales of Xillia, Disgaea 4, and Persona 2: IS PSP.  Me thinks I will be forgoing the latter two for awhile to save money and I hope Persona isn't a limited printing release.

Oh yeah, Disgaea 4. Depending on how the Map Maker turns out with the... unfortunate tweaks it was given, I may or may not get it. Persona 2 Innocent Sin will definitely be gotten to my friend with the PSP, even if I must help foot the bill. But I'll have to beat Persona first...

Reached Chapter 11 in FFXIII. Did a few marks, and now I'm ready to just move forward with the story. Don't think I'll spend too much time doing the marks as I'm really just interested in getting through the story itself.

On the 3rd case in LA Noire (I think). A hit and run. I really like this game. It's definitely a slow paced game with less focus on the action and more on finding evidence and reading people (which is hard as hell because of the Truth/Doubt/Lie thing, though I think I'm getting the hang of it a bit). Definitely glad I picked it up.

Beat Ocarina of Time.  The game was seriously easy.  I love the Spirit Temple boss -- nothing quite like an enemy you have to technically "defend" against to beat.  Hyrule field has also never been so fucking boring looking.  Playing Twilight Princess now.... a lot of people ripped into it for being *too much like" Oca, but I think this game is way more fine-tuned.  The dungeons are crazy long too.

Kinda related: I'm giving away like all of my SNES games to a good friend/co-worker who has agreed to buy me several new titles in the future. Win!

OK...the platforming aspect of Oath in Felghana is getting a tad old. Ar Tonelico just gets funnier and better all the time and I picked Pangya back up, kinda forgot how much fun that game is.

Played Assassin's Creed Bloodlines until the PSP died again. In the middle of a boss fight. What the fuck.

Finished another case in LA Noire. Fun game, but definitely rough around the edges. I commend Rockstar for its ambitiousness with this project and definitely hope to see a more refined game along these lines.

Probably. I really enjoyed it, and I usually get bored by shooters. Maybe it's because I played it as an RTS instead of a shooter...
